You know there is a serious problem when Betrayal players end up playing Betrayal like STD league.

The difficulty is a problem. Especially in the higher tier maps. However the main problem in my book is the complete lack of rewards from syndicate encounters and syndicate safehouses.
Every time I go to the Temple of Atzoatl or Delve or Beastiary or a well rolled or anything else besides Syndicate I feel rewarded. In syndicate I get half a stack of silver coins from a tier3 with 3 allies safehouse. Complete rework of the syndicate reward system is needed for this league. |

Until they make encounters actually possible to complete in red maps this is Delve/Incursion 2.0 Hybrid league for me.

I have 4.8k life as a triple curse cold dot occultist doing red maps i think i've died twice in a week, no skipping atall mainly becouse curses are busted and frigid wake adds alot on top of that(mini temp chains and mini enfeeble cuz of chill) and they die in like 3 sec anyway, so it depends alot on your build(ssf here btw,so no super gear)

I think that is a really good point about the selection of build. I already ditched my first character as I saw early on it wasn't going to cut it.
I know that POE has a meta, certain builds and items are intended to be powerful with others left in the dust. Previously though I could choose to play a sub-standard build and slowly progress and have fun. The difference this time is if your build is sub-standard, you're gonna have a truly awful experience. |

Just don't enter it when it proc. Not sure if it will work if you already cleared at least one research mission but looks like it is.

Don´t really know if the interrogate thing has something to do with this but Laboratory appeared "quickly" (late act 1). I didn´t entered, and now the Lab entrance appears always, even after logouts. One million thanks again, I play in HC and was tired of being destroyed. |

Totally agree with the topic starter. Getting killed with 1 or 2-3 uber fast hits from distance out of the player's camera is wrong. Thank god i play on softcore... and still skip betrayal content :D

It seems to me content was tuned for certain type of players and is overtuned for most. It can be enjoyed most effectively after you read/ watch a lot and know which members to level, which to kick and employ a build well-suited to syndicate encounters.
What is the issue here? Simply unless you so all above (aka you are just a casual player) you either skip league content or die a lot there from one-shots or overrun by add-ons. Rewards that may seem nice to steamroller players are inadequate to risk and time for most. Contrary to typical league, when skill and mechanics knowledge gives you better rewards and harder content (i.e. dig deeper, optimized temple), Betrayal gives noobs enhanced difficulty with subprime rewards. My experience (melee range) - all I can do in most encounters are attacks with blind jumps abound/ to regen as effects, crowd, and lags prevents me from any more advanced mechanics. I still kill most, but repeated rips in t13+ keeps me lvl88 (not leveling atm). Research facilities I skip sometimes, especially in high maps (not enough time to clear, to rippy to rush like delve) Suggestions: 1. nerf hard syndicate members, especially at lower ranks; it's OK to have hardcore experience with captains but no-rankers or 1-star should be much easier, 2. nerf add-ons, they clutter the screen and generate enormous lag; it's more like blind barfight than anything else now 3. add time in research facility |
