I don't consider this EXCELLENT player retention

Player retention is "great" cause there were no bot ban waves. And there are thousands of bots.

doesn't matter shit if you leave cause 3x more new players will join. that is the genius of it. the neophobe veterans crippling everybody's game experience need to be removed from the equation if they don't want to adjust (and that would happen in every other game too, just think of league of legends for example - once they changed literally every numeric value in the game from one day to the other!). I would double this game's average player number/day easy peasy, 100% sure of that, just by using elements that worked well in other video games.

doing the same shit from scratch over and over again isn't gonna cut it anymore, especially not if these inane temp leagues get so many bad reactions these days. around 1 in 2 people on this forum hates delve!

and of course you ignored the actual point, namely how to increase player retention. even more of a reason to disregard your OPINION.

PS: econowhat?! this is a single-player game, as evidenced by the fact trading mechanics in this game work on a stone-age level and so trading is clearly only optional.

LOL - your ideas are shit. D2 and POE are by far the most loved and replayed ARPGs of all time and guess what, they use seasons/leagues.

People like the early season progression but get tired of the slow progression later on. that's why seasons work so well and we see the actual retention EVERY time a new league starts. Do you have any idea how many devs would kill for POE's population and the number of players that return EVERY league.

If people didn't enjoy them so much they'd play Standard - but guess what they don't. So take your lame ass ideas somewhere else.

The only reason non seasonal games like MMOs work is because they are time gated to keep you subbed. and those designs are being rejected by players all of the time.

PS: Trade is the way it is for a reason. but based on your shitpost - it's understandable why you want easy trading to ruin the game.

Chris Wilson knows what he's doing. you on the other hand have no clue.

Somebody needs to explain to OP that PoE isn't an MMO

Of course it is.

MMO simply means Massively Multiplayer Online, which PoE is. You can play with people from all over the world, connected all at the same time. MMO says nothing about the gameplay.

"Massively Multiplayer Online"; care to differentiate between "massively multiplayer" and just "multiplayer"? How do you see the gameplay of Path of Exile qualifying to this definition? How does this differ from other online games you would definitely not consider "MMOs"?
