Are there any games with a worse trade system?

Never view the topic as "what a trade system can do for me/you", but rather "what a trade system can do for the game". And those two are completely different.

No one in their right mind can call the current system "good". But it is far better for the game as a whole than an auction house, that's for sure.

What this game needs, is a middle ground.

If you felt that way, how'd you manage to hit 26 this league?

I was decently wealthy in my last MMO, my main had BiS Gear and was part of a guild that did end game content.

I left because despite paying a monthly sub, being invited to the closed beta testing of the next build had my feedback along with many others ignored.

If you really felt trade was such an aberration you wouldn't bother posting in these forums and playing this game.
Yep, totally over league play.
Buying and selling sucks...yes, but it's what we have so you got to make it work....sorta like when your wife gains 80 lbs after squirting out your rugrats.
I got tired of it went SSF and will never go back.

Maybe AH would be nice addition so I dont have to talk to anyone. But then it may be even more scammy than what we have. Like in D3 they had robots buying anything good value. Did massive price fixing. Autions you couldnt get because robots would bid last second.

Yeah so SSF it is

Grim dawn trading is archetypical.
Grim Dawn is mostly offline, single player game with no economy.

Yes, there have been worse trading systems...

<<twitch>>

Not everyone had the trade in East Commonlands, but Bertox server did. <<flashback>>

On "The Nameless," there was still an active trade population in EC Tunnel even after they put up the Market/whatsits. People liked the interaction, so they said.

Is it good as in you can play whatever you want? I own it DRM free but never bothered to fire it up. I'm a one game guy and still entertained here so never bothered. But it's hell sometimes getting exact right parts for a build.

GD is a great game, definitely deserves the attention. Mind that it's already quite a big game rich of content even without the incoming xpac, can't tell if you'll be able to experience or like it just by scratching the surface. On top of it's quite complex. Requires time investment.

In terms of itemization, story line, balance, and UI is ahead of PoE. Care for the detail is of top priority, which you'll never meet in here.
But it's a non-competitive single player game with no dedicated servers and economy. If that's what fucks you in PoE, can't tell if you'll like it.
Also you can fire it up whenever and wherever you want, it can run offline.
