Sulphite WP farming is stupid as hell.
" then they should've made delve turns-per-day-based (with only a very limited and slow option of grinding more turns so that the no-lifers can still distinguish themselves). the only turns per day mechanic in the game is master missions, and coincidentally doing zana's mission is the highlight of the entire day. turns per day are an extremely efficient tool of ensuring player retention, by the way... since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good Last edited by LMTR14#6725 on Sep 10, 2018, 11:08:58 AM

" no it's not, period. I've never gotten past tier 13, and that I only reached when I used a build from the forum for the very first time. I dare you to pick a random skill that isn't among the currently top 10 used ones, create your own build arount and beat the game ssf! it will never happen cause xp penalty eats your life and your soul, and crafting endgame worthy items yourself is next to literally impossible. before you've done that don't even dare to talk about difficulty! since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good

" I think it is still better than the current situation of overloading the server with quarry instances or hiring a team bitch boys to find sulphite for you. IGN: Arlianth

" "Beat the game"? What does this even mean? Reach Level 100? I've already agreed that the min-maxers have ruined that. No question. But you don't need to get past 90 to "finish" 99.9999999% of builds. You can unquestionably finish the Acts and white maps with literally any skill in the game provided you actually build some defense in the tree. Sure, everyone screws up a build now and again but that is usually a focus on damage and no defense. But you can Heavy Strike your way to middling success if you so desire. So I am wondering what it is you are arguing for? I have never killed Uber Atziri or Shaper or Uber Elder, but I have always played SSF and I have used both my own builds and cookie-cutter. I don't have the drive or time to do more than kill Guardians on regular rare maps and then stare in dismay as I roll phys reflect on my Vaal'd Guardian map for the umpteenth time. Does that mean I have "lost" the game??? Last edited by Slaanesh69#4492 on Sep 10, 2018, 1:49:40 PM

The price you pay if you want to compete in the "my penis is bigger" contest.
I play for fun, go at my own pace, and tend to alternate stuff. Doing one thing over and over, as fast as possible would probably make me insane. |

" Well your idea of trading for sulphite make sense, but it would remove the only chance for GGG to setup something really competitive - Pretty sure trading can be avoided this time, and quarry overload aswell - Hf :)

Just remove Sulphite from the game outside of maps when you kill Kitava.

" So delvers would get to quarry and abandon main plot. Great. Organic chemistry is a weird thing. If you add a spoon of shit to a barrel of jam you'll get a barrel of shit.

I do like the fact that there are people responding that are oblivious to how a simple statement is being taken at literal value and missing the underlying meaning.
Every league has an assortment of time sinks meant to delay progress and prolong gameplay. Sulphite is a resource that constantly needs resupply. It is gathered to allow the potential gathering of azurite, which is consumed to progress deeper. Azurite exists to essentially regulate delving progress. It creates a potential "reward" beyond junk drops, random stuff and currency. Adding the time sink sulphite, an additional time sink layer above the azurite tends to turn a reasonable experience into an excessive grind and severely worsening player retention as far as the mechanic goes. Yep, totally over league play.

" If i can do t16 with lightning warp mines then i think the problem here isn't that "the game is impossible past t13," but rather the player who still cant get past t13 with a meta build There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint. Last edited by cpurdy777#7874 on Sep 10, 2018, 5:33:29 PM
