" the loot table isn't the issue at hand, at all. stop ranting about the other things that irritate you about the game. |

"It not only me being irritated, but you are right. Let's stick with the topic. Do you mind to elaborate why you think the loot table isn't the issue? Do you think that there are items dropped that are both not being filted and not worth the effort to be clicked to pick them up? Let's explore new playstyles - Play it your own way, not just like the others.
Quality management is one of the most underrated success factors in every business... |

Sure; the issue w/r/t loot table in general is that the problem of trash loot isn't solved, right? if only 'good items' are dropped, then the definition of 'good item' changes. If only yellow items dropped, only the super-elite rolls would be useful at all and the problem would actually be worse, because you'd have to pick up every single item in order to potentially progress. Or, drop rates wouldn't change at all and you'd barely see items, which doesn't feel great - we're sort of here with strict loot filters, but it's getting off topic a bit.
The reason that currency should be autopickup and other things should not is that the filter can't read your mind, even really good filters. I'll admit I pretty much use a standard xyz filter and don't get into the weeds, but it might be possible to set one to only show very specific items that you're looking for. But that's a lot of effort even if it's possible, so it's easier and 'truer to the genre' as people say to show more items and then have you manually sort through them. But that isn't true with orbs. A chaos orb is a chaos orb is a chaos orb. Can you imagine a scenario in which you wouldn't want to pick up a chaos orb? |

Easy: Make it a flag on your loot filter. Auto-pickup or no-pickup should be an option.

" I for sure can I'm in the mine and i opened a chest and i'm out of flares I either pick it up and quickly log out or I move on and come back to it after I get more flares. Same thing can be said for almost any currency. Hypothetically lets say you add it. Now chromes, jews and fusings all become much less valuable. Some people might always pick these up, but not everyone. Lets say you already have your 6 link chest with the colors you need. Now you have excess you can't sell or sell for that much because everyone now has more. If everyone has more of everything then there is an issue. Currently poe works sort of like a pyramid. While people don't really buy ID scrolls anymore from low level players, they still buy currency from them. Bigger ticket items then become further and further out of the reach of players because items are priced in accordance to how rare\desired they are, not just purely set on a certain price. For example headhunter is 40-50ex now, if everyone auto pickups currency it could go significantly higher or ex could go up in price. So following your logic lets see how this looks. What if GGG introduced a pet that did this. No you can't use current ones you must buy the one they had in the store, would you be ok with that? " That isn't a solution, you are acting like the problem of auto looting is about some people wanting it turned off. No the problem is it shouldn't fucking be turned on. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

see, you're attacking the concept of autolooting by adding stuff to it that isn't there. I haven't suggested that there should be an infinite radius to autoloot. There's already a loot radius; you don't have to be standing directly on top of an item on the ground to loot it already. For azurite, which does autoloot, you still have to be close to it. So how does the difference between clicking it or not blow up the entire economy? you still have to go over to it.
I've seen this overall economy argument a number of times, and it doesn't hold any water. It always assumes an infinite (or at least enormous) autoloot radius, and that doesn't have to be, and in fact should not be, true. These orbs will still take up space in your inventory, you don't get to just suddenly add them to your stash for free. Autoloot just means you need to walk over them to pick them up. To your point of offering a paid pet to autoloot: I'd be annoyed, but it's not economy-destroying. I have yet to figure out why anyone thinks it'd be economy-destroying to save people a click. |

When you get a high level character and start mapping and trying to figure out how the game works you will have a better idea of the problems with the suggestion, but for now your inexperience with the game is very apparent and it simply isn't worth trying to discuss with someone that thinks they have any idea of the impact their suggestion has when they haven't reached a point in the game to have an understanding of the game.

" Right just like the other people here saying the same thing I am. It would be a waste of my time to try to validate my points to you, my feedback is for GGG not you. " nice! further confirmation you can't explain why you don't like autopickup of orbs outside of personal preference! Last edited by Nichelle_GGG#0000 on Sep 6, 2018, 4:05:13 PM
