Most builds use only 1-2 uniques. So that's 3-4 extra jewels. The ones that don't use unique weapons or armor will get 5-6 extra jewels. That's an insane amount of power.

Besides, it is not as easy and painless as it seems. You need to craft a good item, you need to sacrifice a socket (which won't be a problem for 1 or 2 sockets, but after that most builds will struggle). Most importantly, pure rare item builds are not as powerful as builds with few build enabling uniques, that's for sure.

So i'm pretty sure that it looks insane on paper, but in reality it will be just a tool for top players to push further into delve

The concerns over Abyss stat sticks are largely unfounded. Remember - you get ONE chance per fossil/resonator to craft an item with the stats you want. Getting a really ridiculous set of statstick rolls on an item on the same roll in which you get the Abyss socket will be a literal one-in-a-million thing. Yes, somebody will do it and that item will be bonkers, but that's supposed to be sorta the point, innit? Crafting a truly bonkers rare item is supposed to be one of the ways players have of Winning Path of Exile.

Let 'em have their fun.

It really depends how rare they are.

I don't see this being impactful outside of abyssal weapons and helms if the abyssal socket is a suffix mod.
