There's no good ARPG's vs poe.
MU Legends is..........meh.
It has facets of D3, PoE, Titan Quest, and every other ARPG you have played in years. Seriously, it has very little novelty, and it is all thrown together in this chaotic stew of menus. Gems for gear, three to one upgrades. Dismantle gear for crafting mats, menus of items to craft as you level up. Actually scratch that, it is practically a one-for-one D3 clone with a ton of crap tacked on. Clearly it is pay to win, but I got some entertainment out of it just leveling. That being said, I actually got my money's worth out of leveling through Destiny 2 these last couple of weeks too, even though that game is some serious mediocre stuff as well, Latest rumors are that D4 will be going for a Witcher/new God of War ascetic. This is not the ARPG you are looking for <<waves hand>>. |

" I mean if you believe randoms on 4chan then I guess you can buy that. It's possible there would be a diablo spin off in another genre but if you can believe diablo 4 would be anything but an arpg I have some magic beans to sell you. |

the first time i looked at grim dawn i thought they can't be serious with these animations and textures from the last millenium, it's so fugly i wouldn't spend a dime on it.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

"That doesn't look promising, at least by the trailer. First, it's not clear why playing 15 different characters at once will be all that meaningful. It seems virtually impossible to balance gameplay for 15 different character types that could be switched into at any time. In the end, there is probably going to be one or two default characters used and then others will probably just be for niche occasions. Some character types will probably just function as noob traps, with experienced players essentially never playing them. Second, ARPG players often prefer to just loot and kill, with some additional game elements for flavor. That video emphasizes that puzzles will be important, plus there are trap gauntlets. All key game elements will need to be designed and implemented well, as the weakest link probably becomes the key limiter for player enjoyment. And, it's unlikely that the dev team is equally talented and creative with all the different gameplay elements being mixed together here. Third, at the end of the day the combat looks pretty much like other combat games. There seems to be nothing new about combat beyond character switching that's being brought to the table, at least by the trailer. Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?

" POE has some pretty crappy art and animations too. This game is super deep but is far from AAA in polish and such. Last edited by FrodoFraggins#7603 on Aug 19, 2018, 1:41:40 PM

" Grim Dawn has much much higher quality and way more detailed environment / ground textures than PoE. Character/ armor textures are also way way better on Grim Dawn - my bet is you either haven't played for a looong time or you haven't maxed the graphics. The only thing that is WAY better in Poe is the skill effects / animations. "Wealth in a game is measured by the amount of fun, joy and entertainment you can get out of it".
