love ur game, however you need to quickly think about another system for trading or you'll throw all your casual players into boredom oblivion soon.. I will clarify my point: Let's say I have a job and play your game 1-2 hours a day in the evening...now, how do you think I can sell my stuff? Trade chat is just ridicoulous: 1) The chat window is too small to display enough messages, they quickly go vanish 2) the concept ONLY hits players who are currently online and read the chat = a small % of the possible buyers 3) Trade on chat requires me to spam my offers regularly rather than spending my 1-2 hours farming - questing - leveling. Trade forum is impossible to use: 1) Threads number is excessive 2) finding stuff is extremely complicate and takes lots of time 3) Forum requires seller and buyer to meet ingame, what if we play on different times? I am not going to log in during the night just to trade. Prices of stuff are just RANDOM. While there is a nice table for converting currency items, if I want to sell a nice weapon...what is the correct price? 3 GCPs? 2 Exalt? Based on what? How much is a +15% gem compare to a +5%? 3 orbs difference? Why? I simply have no time to deal with this. I am bringing you proof that this system does not work: Party board is now becoming a trade board, people advertise there their trades because trade chat DOES NOT WORK. there u go: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/713/wtswtt.jpg Now, some users say to post on forum...but this requires even more time for maintenance and adjusting prices, items etc...plain stupid. It is 2013, Games have AH since 10 years and systems to prevent fraud, spam, gold selling or whatever other crap out there. "An auction house does not prevent fraud, spam, or gold selling. With that said, they do have plans to improve trading both in-game and through the website. Trading will be possible through this website, and there has also been mention of publicly visible stash tabs. |

Post all ure Items in forum is less work as post em in chat tbh ...just 1 click instead of ctrl alt click and player got the advance to see ure offer and contact or post to ure thread 24/7

as much as i understand your concerns i dont want an AH in this game.
the trading from guy to guy has always been a nice thing for me, i kinda enjoy it. allthough you are perfectly right, that the current system has some flaws and doesnt really work tooo well (it does to a certain point, actually dont have too much of a problem with it), so some adjustments wouldnt be too bad. a trading forum like jsp or plubic stash tabs could be a nice addition to the ingame trade chat. | |
" Cant please all the people all the time as the saying goes. In my few weeks experience almost to a tee everyone i have met loves the barter system. It adds another aspect to the game that many new games just do not have . I sincerly hope there is never an AH in this game as it ruins much of the social aspect with grouping full of loot ninjas we dont need less reason to actually interact with others. I would suggest a notification board like the LFG one but instead a player can browse what other have put up for sale from thier stash. I seen something similar in DAoC some years back and it would make it a little more "casual" player trade friendly. But I predict a trend back to the days of no AH cause it just give easy access to those who find glitches to abuse to sell ill gotten gains and then sell currency on those third party sites. Not to mention AH's ruin currency economies by making trading too easy it drives prices down fast. |

Let us create little shops in game.
I want to sell my GMP? I create a shop with say 2 GCP 2 chaos buyout. someone clicks on me they see they likey they buy! I wake up and it is sold! Easier than forums spamming, or trade spamming. The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG
