Sorry but incursions just suck

It's one thing to keep move speed meta in game its another to toss a timer on top of it to slap players in the face. Every game ever made when the dev's lack any sort of originality for difficult content, they simply toss a timer on things. Its lazy and weak.

Make encounter's legit hard don't just toss a timer on it and say its harder. This game constantly leaves skills undervalued and underused while allowing broken meta to be abused. (stat stick/double dipping)

Adding a timer to things simply makes even more builds worthless now since they use a crappy move speed skill or are not abusing game mechanics.

There have never been more viable skills and build choices for you than there are now. If you're failing because of "crappy move speed skill" you're to blame, not the game. The rooms are small and dense. You just need a quicksilver and some boots with movement speed.

Or you could play in a group :) try it out, you will be surpriced by how effective it is as a group to clear the incursions, and there is alot more loot, when its cleared, its win/win.
Incursions have been pretty fun and really once you figure them out, they are easy with many different build types. I have ran speed builds, early to get the loot, and slower melee builds for fun. Neither have had a problem, once I figured out the mechanics of an incursion. Hell much of the time I clear the incursion and have ~20 seconds left and just leave through the portal. There has been times I do not get a portal key drop, but the loot more than pays for the incursion. I rarely use an flask for movement and even my fastest speed play only has +25 on speed. Many have much lower.

Now at the same time, you have to watch your map mods, especially on higher tier maps. You go into a 6+ mod high tier map, those mods are in the incursion. Now, while it may have been fine int he map with 6+ mods, the wrong mods in an incursion can be very rippy.

It is a different type of play style and it is challenging, no doubt. However that is what makes it fun for me and many others. It can be rippy and you get the wrong setup and misplay the initial entry you can be dead quick.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
I dont really get the hate on Incursion league.
Compared to beastiary this league is golden lol.

Its FUN jumping into an incursion, not knowing what to expect and having a timer count down so you have to be quick! Like Indiana Jones before the doors would shut and he's trapped.

I understand the league doesnt work with any builds..
But thats why theres standard though. You can play whatever build you want there.
The New Leagues are a way to try out DIFFERENT builds that work specifically for that league mechanic.
Flavor of the month? Lol I homebrewed my VFB ignite nonsense way before engineering eternity came out with his video. Got a level 21 VFB when it was just 50c, got

when it was 3ex (there are still two week-old clearly pricefixed listings below 5ex, the recent listings are 9ex). It was hardly flavor of the month until some streamer made it that.

Game is easy, make better characters.

The OP wrote the thing you replied to today (June 27) on June the 11th, and hasn't been back in the thread, or recently. Seems they've made their decision on sticking around. Who exactly are you talking to here?

While I very much enjoy this league, I have to agree here.

Clear speed should be a reward in itself. When the game starts demanding clear speed, that's when we know that the power creep is out of control. We saw it in Breach and to a minor degree in Abyss. This time, they've taken it one step further. What is next?

The more the game starts to bottleneck your play style, the less choices you have. Yes, yes, Mr. Sheep, there's a lot of viable build choices, but not nearly as many play style choices, if all builds have to follow not only a bare minimum of life, damage and mitigation, but also clear speed.

GGG should be more than capable of making interesting, challenging content without clear speed timers.

PS: We could say "but this is only one league...". But isn't it three leagues now? So I ask again, what's next? Timers on boss fights? Timers on maps? This isn't fighting power creep, it's embracing it.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

I hear you. I do not even bother with it except to kill stuff for xp. The moment I make a plan to do something with my temple,I am quickly reminded of how stupid the whole timer thing is. You want me to play your new content GGG? Nope. Not until you can deliver something that is actually enjoyable. If I want unreasonable time frames,I will simply refer to my real life job.
There's devils on each side of you with bottles in their hands.
You need one more drop of poison and you'll dream of foreign lands.

I thought the same thing at first but they are more designed for higher end later builds.

Just get a good movement skill, and when you're at your final build type with low gear, everything goes faster.

The incursions are way better than the temple itself.

Temple feels, anticlimactic.

Take down the slow moving death star.

The Incan version.
