Sorry but incursions just suck

Why is the timer so low even if i kill it seems like i never kill fast enough to meet the timer, kill a boss and grab a stone of passage to open the door. I gotta play a flavor of the month super clear build to be successful in incursions.

My theory: They don't intend on making it available in Acts... it's stuck in their just for the league and they didn't waste time trying to make it fit. So it's too hard at first, and too easy for many builds. They balanced it around end-game play and we'll only see it in maps as Zana mod or as an infrequent spawn.

Take it with a grain of salt though, since it's not my call.
Incursions and the temple itself are very profitable and basically not at all gated around much RNG unlike abyssal depths, chalupa splinters or rare tigers.

There needs to be some semblance of challenge involved or else it'd just be free candy.

The only thing I really hate is how often I run out of time literally one step away from the door.

struggled with a melee character early on to even get 1/4 of an incursion done, as soon as it reached level 40 with some movement speed it was clearing the full thing though not quite fast enough, come level 60 it's not unusual to get 20+ seconds left

Next character, a 2 socket arc and added lightning at level 14 could clear an incursion, though again movement speed, it sucked getting to doors in time.

When the mechanics got teased, I was pretty negative. I just don't understand why they need to gate content behind timers. Fast clear-speed should be reward in itself, and not forced by the game.

That said, the timers aren't that bad if your build is OK. We're not talking META here, or flavor of the month. We're talking about builds with some thought behind them, supplied with OK gear.

I'm far from a very good player, and I'm playing a self-cast Freezing Pulse builds. Not META, not "flavor of the month" by any means, and I'm not having trouble at all with the timer. Had a little bit of trouble from maybe level 1 to 40, but after that it was pretty smooth.

It's OK to realize that your build isn't good enough - and re-roll. It's OK that the game is telling you "your gear isn't good enough. Improve it". We can't have a game, where whatever you are wearing and whatever you do with the passive tree "works".

Even my Slow as fuck Blight Build can do it no issues.

You would run out of time one step from the door even if they added a second or two. Those are just the times you rememeber.
