Incursion timer too short

I would rather seem then remove the timer and create a portal once an Architect is killed. However, I would add additional Incursions depending on how quickly one is able to defeat their Architect of choice. So if you're able to kill the Architect in 15 seconds or less, you get 0.5 additional Incursions, which adds up to 5 more runs overall (well, 5.5, but we'll round down). This rewards those who are fast, and still allows the slower builds to properly experience what the League has to offer.
Agreed, plus the key drops are a little to RNG. Sucks when you dont link the rooms to the boss.

I Joined PoE for the incursion. This is my first league and I have to say its unfun. I am a level 42 Duelist Reave build and I cant even kill any architect or open a door the timer is just to short its so unfun and makes me just not want to play. I left Diablo 3 for this game but if this is the type of stuff GGG wants to offer I wont be back..

The Rubberbanding i get makes it impossible to even get to the Architect and kill him. please just add more time like 30sec or 1 min to clear the place that be fine but 10 seconds not fun at all.

loot the key run to the door and get teleported back when u was 2 meter away from the door...

Every single timer in POE is terrible. It's a poor mechanic that GGG uses as a replacement for content that's actually interesting and challenging on its own merits. It's like putting up a sign that says "you have to fit this mold to get on the ride" on a ride that literally everybody wants to get on. If you're not in that mold, you can just fuck right off, fun be damned.

My first build this league was a Deadeye with crit Lightning Trap. Incursions were clunky early on (first as Split Arrow, then as Lightning & Explosive Trap), but still doable. In maps I'd full clear incursions with 20-30 seconds left. I hated trap play, though, so I'm trying to reroll. Every other build I've started has been terrible at incursions while leveling. Even my overleveled self-cast Arcer with excellent self found gear and all damage nodes could either only kill the architect or only open a door.

Again, the problem isn't the length of the timer. It's the existence of the timer. Timers are garbage that locks content away from fun and interesting weaker builds, new players, and anyone else not locked into 200apm speed play. They're a shitty crutch GGG needs to stop relying on, since they make every aspect of the game they touch worse.

Patch out the shitty timers. It's no fun to fail incursions, breaches, Zana missions, or whatever else because my build's slow or I simply like walking through maps rather than mindlessly spamming some mechanically-annoying movement skill. Let me fucking walk, GGG. I promise you it won't ruin the game.

I think the timer is essential, its what makes it a challenge and means you dont always get what u want, you shouldnt always get what you want otherwise nothing feels special. Thats a fundamental part of a game, esp an rng game.

For me the timer feels about right but I think that probably means its a little short for general people. I think adding maybe 4 seconds to the total time of each area would probably hit the sweet spot.

I've been really liking the concept of the league so far, but the timer is far too short to make it fun. Too many times have I cleared as fast as I can to try and find a stone... only to run out of time because of RNG with drops and mob placement.

Just killing enemies themselves feels so worthless even when taking down groups of them. It only feels like I'm only scraping a second by for my efforts. Sure you can plan for what person you want to target, and what doors will unlock what, with the planning stage, but it doesn't take the RNG aspect of it all in mind nor a way to compensate for it. With how limited the attempts we have are, just having RNG screw me over is frustrating to no end.
GGG got flamed for Bestiary netting mechanics slowing down the leveling process. So they do a 180 and make Incursion be speed racing on speed. GGG seems to go from one extreme to the other with no thought of anything in the middle. There is a sizable part of the player base that doesn't want to play PoE speed racer. It wouldn't wreck the incursions if GGG added more time for each kill so we can do something other than just get frustrated, "damn the timer ran out again". If it doesn't get better as I level higher then Incursion will be another busted challenge league". Look out GGG, one more strike and you're out.

But I wonder who at GGG decided that not adding more time for kills and none for attacking and killing an architect was a "fun to play" mechanic. I have no problem with starting with a low timer and the whole concept of 11 ancient temple runs to get the modern day temple run is ok but damn GGG give us more time when we kill. We aren't all young speed freaks with twitch reaction reflexes (some of us are over 50).

GGG, how did you decide how to balance these? "20% of people can handle incursions, but the other 80% can go fuck themselves. Let them go in there, wail unsuccessfully on some monsters, then get kicked out and get right to fucking themselves."

If I simply couldn't access the content, that's one thing. Being able to access it just so I can waste my time due to the stupid fucking timer you keep shitting the game up with is the worst. Why the fuck are you putting content in the beginning of the game that most people can't fucking handle?!

How the fuck do you make the same mistakes over and over again? Still, here I am, making the same fucking mistake of playing this goddamn game again. Fuck. I swear this shit's worse than heroin. I've probably uninstalled a hundred times (doing it again after I click submit), but I can't fucking stop myself from coming back eventually, just for you to shit in my mouth yet again, which you fucking always do. I can't take this thread seriously. Some of the people responding here talking about "too-fast" incursion timers aren't even level 30.

It's supposed to be hard the first few times. As you get more links and get better items, it gets better... and i mean A LOT better. I find my self smashing thru now with 30-40 seconds left after full clear.

Be fucking patient. How can you come here and complain about this shit and you guys are barely on a 4 link?

Initially you aren't supposed to be able to complete the temple to the apex. My first few temple runs were freaking awful.

Now they are pretty awesome.

I'm playing SSF as well so don't give me any crap about that as an excuse.
