POE drop rates explained
What if the game has no idea if you were lucky or not beforehand and every rng event outcome is just... random?
Saying you have more chances for good drops when the active population is low implies that the game has a "quota" of good stuff to give every x amount of time ; interesting idea. |

There is a fairly easy way to test this.
In 5 days 22 hours and 5 minutes you all don't log in for a day and i will report back with the findings. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" I remember EQ having a patch that could be interpreted that way, but I also remember this subject coming up while playing EQ. We were all laughing about it and it was, IIRC, another MMO. For some reason, I associate something with a prominent "C" in it with this internet legend. I played EQ shortly after release and for years afterwards. Even logged back in and leveled some new characters a couple of years ago. :) It's a surprisingly good game, still, especially for being free, now. Seed mechanics can be hilarious as well as weird faction mechanics/interactions. Wow, nostalgia moment, the heady days of EQ where people trained the EC Tunnel. :) Jammed up dungeon exits as people tried to escape a nasty train (I'm looking at you, Blackburrow) while some Ogre player blocked it, before they turned off collision boxes for players... And, of course, the immortal "Fansy the Bard." Fun times. :) Posted for nostalgia reasons. Old EQ players will understand... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzy3RE3hVks Last edited by Morkonan#5844 on May 27, 2018, 10:14:33 PM
