Only because the game is dying now and they need fresh blood. Basically everything got more expensive after tencent bought them.

This is worrisome. Gamers have seen companies go down this road time and time again to be dismantled or corrupted to the point of losing all good graces with their fans. I sense some "Leaving to pursue new opportunities" posts by developers in the next year.

This is worrisome indeed.
Doesn't feel quite like a handful of Kiwis with a passion project anymore.

This announcement bothers me more than I think it should. I'm sure I won't notice a difference in the direction of the game but there will always be a nagging in the back of my mind.
