Builds for 3.3 incursion?
" Truth.:) I played a lot of builds. Made many guide and had a featured GGG build - in other-words know a little bit about game - and still am vexed every season as what to start with. So many good choices. Git R Dun!

I consider Reave (with new Vaal Reave it will be very powerful), or Lightning Strike.

The biggest problem at least for me when I started playing this game, was sorting out all the "bullshit" builds posted on this forum.
By that I mean the builds that promises you x million dps while being unkillable etc, only to go in to pob and see that the build is set up with only mirror tier gear. It's always fun to see the heading "great starter build" and then the build is going to cost you like 150 ex to get going :) |

" Yeaw, I often comment on builds that do some funny business with parameters but I feel that nobody else really does it because they don't want to look like jerks. You often see stuff like "Shocked" + "Full life" etc. which pump up the damage by 50% when the build obviously cannot have these qualities. Also 90% of the builds that display DPS in the thread title have mirror tier gear. I was trying to quickly explain what a mirror weapon is to my GF who just started playing and all I had to do was to go in a "X mil Shaper DPS" titled build and there it was! " Only meta slave kids played that 1 build in D3. I personally didn't play for the leaderboards except 1 season and tried all 30~ builds and got as far as i could with them. And found them quite enjoyable. If you play the leaderboard even if you don't have the time to grind paragons and gem levels 16h/day and feel forced into that 1 build then it's your own fault. " 4-5 skill sets per class, 7 classes, 4 x 7 = 28 buils. Some sets work for not just 1 dps skill but for multiple which means 30+. Add the 5 useful LoN builds and you have 30 easily. Just don't start the "there is only 1 build per class and it's the one that the rank 1 plays" and your need to copycat that guy. Not to say that after season 9 you could change your full set of gear with 1 click allowing you to play multiple buils in one character easily. Back to topic. You guys tell "i've played 30 builds" etc but say nothing about which of them is good league starter.
For now my leaders are: — Totems. GS totems, FB totems, DP totems, you name it. I've never played spell totems so I can only guess which of them is best one, every guide says "i don't require anything except darksoul and 2 rings". Well, how mad are prices on these 2 items at the start of the league? I guess that patch buffs ignite/fire skills so maybe some new totem will shine. Any thoughts/ideas? — Summoner. I've played 2 summoners already, one is pure FG, one is spectre/fg. They are smooth enough and I like gameplay when you literally do nothing. Except the fact that you need +1 spectre boots and chest which are not easy to buy at the start. And then you need jewels that cost 2-3 ex and ideally you need 2 of them plus harmonies to keep them running. I can start with just tabula and dualwield +1 golems, but it is enough for low-tier maps. Later you will need full set. So it is not cheap enough. — AW totems. They are fine even with Kondo. You can farm some maps but main reason is easy lab farm / selling enchants / getting rich. You can't go fast to guardians/shaper 'cos you'll need starforge for them. — MF builds: Windripper/KB wander. Hard to complete the atlas (your single target sucks), but SPEED and mf allow you to farm maps very effectively and you can get few exalts pretty fast. I don't play all working day as streamers do, maybe 3-4 hours but in the week of flashback i've got about 15ex easely, 6-link QOTF, Windripper and jewels. So it is fine for start if you know what are you doing. What else? Options, guys, options? |
