[3.3 Raider] Milgi's Reave Scaeva - Dreamfeather/ Ichimonji 1mil DPS budget/ 3.9 mil DPS highend

Hello guys, first time posting my own build, which should be noted that is not finalized, however the main idea is the following :
- Incursion League is yet another zoom zoom league where movespeed/clearspeed will be the king
- Skills and their Vaal Versions will now take 1 gem slot
- Since the char will be a leaguestarter it should be able to work on a budget but also have a high ceiling potential
- Layers of defense provide multiple ways of surviving

As such, I came up with the idea creating a melee based Raider that will use Reave/ Vaal Reave, with multiple layers of defense (evasion, block, armour, dodge, VP, fortify), high movement speed and considerably high damage.

1) So far I have come up with the budget version of the build :
Spoiler
https://pastebin.com/Pq8DzMMN
DPS : 1011k
Life : 4.2k
Evade Chance : 95%
Phys Damage Reduction : 34%
Block Chance : 32%
Dodge Chance : 14 %
Movement Speed : +176%
Life Leech : 1.68k
Level 85
Notes : In this version we don't have any lab enchants on helm/gloves, the boots don't have the +1 frenzy corruption, we use quite cheap gloves/ring, no ToH/Sin's Rebirth and QOTF is 5-linked.

2) This version depicts the high endgame version of the build :
Spoiler
https://pastebin.com/gePk1AWN

DPS : 2571k
Life : 5k
Evade Chance : 95%
Phys Damage Reduction : 47%
Block Chance : 25%
Dodge Chance : 18%
Movement Speed : +221%
Life Leech : 2k
Level 95

Notes : Of course this version includes lots of very expensive items, but it is more like to show that this build can reach really high numbers of DPS while also having good defenses.

3) This is a tankier version of the endgame build :
Spoiler
https://pastebin.com/9pdR4q9Z
DPS : 2373k
Life : 5.5k
Evade Chance : 95%
Phys Damage Reduction : 47%
Block Chance : 25%
Dodge Chance : 18%
Movement Speed : +224%
Life Leech : 2.2k
Level 95

4) This is a less fast version but incredibly high on damage as well as very tanky :
Spoiler
https://pastebin.com/C9GqqnaK
DPS : 3900k
Life : 5.5k
Energy Shield : 576
Evade Chance : 95%
Phys Damage Reduction : 39%
Block Chance : 25%
Dodge Chance : 18%
Movement Speed : +176%
Life Leech : 2.2k
Level 95

Since this is not a final version and we have 2 weeks before the new league (where it will be actually tested as a league starter), I am open to any suggestions for any of the versions!!

Bandits :
Spoiler
For Bandits we choose Alira for the resists and the crit multiplier which allows us to look for other affixes on gear and also helps greatly while leveling!!
However, if you aim for the expensive tanky version of the build then you should kill all bandits.

Pantheon :
Spoiler
we choose Lunaris as major and Yugul/Gruthkul as minor for extra defenses

Edit : Based on suggestion, I reworked the endgame version by :
a) making it considerably easier to acquire (removed +1 frenzy from impresence, one resistance from the rare ring and removed one affix from the jewels)
b) gained 400 life thus reaching the 5k mark, gained 500k DPS thus reaching 2.5mil, gained +13% movement speed thus reaching 221%, gained 1% max cold resistance and gained 200 Life Leech thus reaching 2k.

All this happened by sacrificing 6% block chance which i think is a worthy tradeoff that boosts significantly both our survivability (especially vs oneshot potentials) and DPS while making it easier to acquire all the pieces!

Edit 2 : Added a 3rd tankier version where you can sacrifice 200k DPS for 500 more life and reach a total of 5.5k HP.

Edit 3: Added a less zoom zoom version (207% ms) that keeps the life of the tanky version (5,6k HP) and shoots over 3,2 mil dps !!

Edit 4 : (4th version changes) Changed Punishment - Blasphemy with Assassin's Mark - Blasphemy, which even though it lowers the POB DPS it improves the consistency since Punishment requires us to be hit first for it to trigger. Also, replaced the frenzy corruption from boots and put it into gloves and added lab enchantment on the boots, to be in line with the 3.3 corruption changes. Finally, as a QOL upgrade i changed QOTF with Carcass Jack which will help not only DPS-wise but also AOE-wise. With these changes, the build lost 5% evasion and 15% movement speed, but gained +20% Area of effect, about 300 ES and 400k DPS.

Since I haven't been able to log in and help you with the build , I 'll post here my improvements idea
Spoiler
https://pastebin.com/zU8XK07P

I rearranged some of the nodes and replaced your spiked gloves with Shaper's touch. As a result, you can reach 2,2 mil DPS, 47% phys red, 233% ms, 1% max cold res, 100 ES and free up the gloves enchantment spot.

Also, I think you could add the gloves in the budget version, since they fall very quickly down in price in the start of the league!!

Really liking this and I'm probably going to go with this for the start of the league as well. Could you do a skill point break down by level as a rough guide for leveling with this? I've never done a reave build before but I've had quite a lot of experience in the game so I can probably figure it out, I'm just curious as to how you're looking to have it done.

Thanks for the kind words and I'm happy you might have found your league starter!! Usually my general idea of progressing, involves going fast through the acts which I have found to be optimal with your main defense being your resistances close to the cap while boosting your damage as much as possible.

As such, your skill tree around act 6 should look like :
Spoiler
https://pastebin.com/DEwxiRJb
Before that, I think it's pretty easy to breeze through the acts, just remember to pick Purity of Elements as soon as you can and it should carry your survivability quite easily.

For Ascendancy I would go Rapid Assault -> Avatar of the Chase -> Way of the Poacher -> Avatar of the Slaughter.
The reason for this would be that practically permanent Onslaught will significantly increase your navigation speed through the acts, whereas Frenzy enhancements shine later in this build.

For weapons I think any good Pdps/ Attack speed swords will do the job (early Redbeak would be the dream of course) e.g. Lakishu's blade till you reach the level for Scaeva which you could have 2 of until you get your hands on a Dreamfeather.

However, I should note that the first unique I would go for would definitely be the Belt of the Deceiver since it would provide all of the things you should be looking for (ele res, intimidation, life) and give you the strength you need for the earlier leveling of gems.

How good is Reave for boss dmg?

Cause this build seems like it can clear maps decently fast

Thanks for the reply man! I've normally gone FB to start a league and never gone reave but like you, I like going fast when leveling with a decent clear speed - for me it's always been either a poet build or FB with Oni-Goroshi but I really dont feel up to farming for it this start of league.

Out of interest, we go Allira for the extra resists right? Weps I'm sure i can find any decent pdps swords etc but anything else you'd recommend for the start of the league to look out for?

I got lucky in bestiary (urgh what a terrible league!) and got an early drop of tabula's on the ledge in A1 so used that all the way through, hopefully I can get something similar again.

If possible, Belt of the Deceiver and a Le Hoop right? I noticed they were the the only two for early game that seemed usable - the only other ring I was thinking of was the taming (if I can get one late game because they're hella expensive) - I'll check on PoB if it works and does enough extra dps to warrant the life loss vs a good rare opal or steel

No prob, happy to help a fellow exile! You 're right that Alira is mainly there for the resists, as the abundance of uniques we use don't give us much to the resistances (apart from the Heup) so it's like you 're spending 2 skill points to get +15 % to all ele res and 20% crit multi which is a very good deal considering how many points you would need to spend just to get the resistances missing from the tree!

My other recommendations apart from your potential lucky drops for leveling (tabula, goldrim, wanderlust) would mainly have to do with your gem setup. Generally, be on the lookout for 4 links with 1G and 3R and socket Cleave (for lvl 1-12) /Reave (level 12 and onwards) - Ruthless (lvl 1 available) - Maim (lvl 8 available) - and Melee Phys (lvl 18 available). Once you get to level 38 if you manage to have a 5-link with 1G and 4R you should add Multistrike. if in either case you get 1 blue socket instead of red, put Conc. Effect instead of Maim.

The Taming is a dps loss and also stupidly expensive and from my POB tests a diamond ring with phys damage to attacks, life and fire res ( the only resistance we re low on) is about 20k dps less than a steel ring but the difference in price is ridiculous. With rolls like this, the diamond ring would cost you like something around 20 -30 c whereas a steel ring would easily go for a couple exalts. Of course if you re at the point of min maxing you could go for it, but even then I would prioritize getting jewels with double crit multi rolls and %life, as they offer a much bigger boost.

Indeed, mapping should be considerably fast - especially for something that's considered a melee skill - and I think bossing will be as easy as mapping.

The fact that you re looking at about 2 mil dps on map bosses and 1,8 mil on Shaper, it's very easy to understand that bossing shouldn't trouble you at all. As long as you can avoid oneshot mechanics, Vaal Pact will help you to almost facetank the rest of the bosses' arsenal, whereas the increased range you get would make it safer than your average melee skill.

On top, the fact that the Ancestral Warchief has Culling Strike means that as long as you pay attention to keep it up all the time, it will make killing bosses all that much easier!

Is it worth leveling with reave over sunder?

Probably not in terms of pure XP but sunder is just boring to level with so I'd say it would depend on you - Reave wont be far behind Sunder though
