Elitest and masochistic, I'll take it thanks.

I did actually read the entire post, my brain just got caught up on the part where you think I should cheat because others do, perhaps even yourself when it doesn't break rules. I make rules for myself man. Call it a code if you will, ethics if you are feeling froggy.

Standards in life, never in league.

Nowhere did I ever say you should cheat. I just inferred that if the game were single player people would. Apologies if you felt otherwise.

People generally cheat in single player games because they are not *enjoying* the experience
that is a VERY strong generalization to make. care to expand on this ?

people cheat because of various reasons in games, in my experience. believe it or not, the most common reason Ive personally seen is basically because they could. people also get bored of game and start fucking around with godmode/noclip or whatnot. and surely enough, soon after they cheat they will quit the game because by comparison the 'regular' game isnt as 'fun' to them anymore.

Everything you said fits perfectly with "not enjoying the game". It's a very broad statement that applies to MANY things. So broad that it is almost meaningless in fact. The only meaningful distinction that it makes is that people choose how to enjoy the game, not the developer. If people cheat and don't find it fun, then they shouldn't cheat, nothing wrong with that. Similarly if people don't want to cheat, then they shouldn't cheat, nothing wrong with that either. I did have a problem with the attitude that cheating is inherently bad in a video game though. Nobody gives a shit if you cheat in a video game. Generally cheating only becomes a problem when it is against the ToS (which it currently is) or is done in a competition (possible exception if it is a rule of the competition, speedrunners abuse glitches and such). There might be a fringe case in which cheating is "bad" but I can't think of it.

Are there other things that go outside that very broad category? Sure, I pointed out an academic use, for the sake of knowledge. Literally figuring out mechanics by trial and error, cheating accelerates this process considerably -- it's like how people use path of building to theorycraft rather than sit down and play every build until they find something that works. Things not fitting a generalization is just a quality of generalizations period. There are always exceptions to every rule, etc.
A lot of nerfs or so called changes of classes skills and tree made me have little choice to play this game, like some 3.0 builds is pretty outdated for these changes. Only few skills viable for endgame like BF, BF and molten strike have been op for some expansions, why these skills don't change ??
