Path of Exile - ProjectPT Was Right Expansion

My day of league was yesterday.
I left with 20 exalteds orbs and tons of items to sell, its boring, mapping are not rewarding, uber elder and elder is boring and not rewarding and too repetitive.

As usual i will play for 2 weeks next league and hope for real changes.

You know, it pains me when people point to league mechanics as to why POE is failing. I've played standard for years and for the most part, league mechanics are a bit of a fantasy (GGG often does not incorporate them, and when they do, they're far far more rare to the point they might as well not exist outside of Zana mods -- which made Legacy suck REALLY HARD for standard players). So when people complain about not getting enough loot, or getting too much loot, I'm just like "Well fuck, I play standard." So on this point alone I disagree with the entire premise of the OP's post. Bestiary might be a shitstorm, but the core game still stands fast. If you don't like the core game, then theres nothing I can do to help you because with each passing league it will get worse for me in standard, and more power creep will come to you in leagues, and thats assuming you enjoy the mechanic.

As far as the rest of the OP's post -- GGG is a business, it is expected that they make risky decisions. Most league concepts I liked didn't get incorporated into the core game, specifically because it would oversaturate the new league (Perandus -- more strongboxes hurray, legacy -- pick and choose whats in play, fucking awesome, common essences -- I like to craft, common breaches -- I have yet to get enough splinters to enter a single breachlord map). And what do I get instead? Nerfs to xp for people over level 95 (across all leagues) to keep the race to 100 a little bit longer when they throw in stuff like Breach and Abyss as xp and loot magnets. I didn't play very much at all during 3.1 because of it. I might play a little longer in 3.2 here and there.

Bottom line, I still enjoy path of exile from time to time. My take on this topic: "And this too shall pass." We can only hope when it does, that it gets better. If not, you can always quit for real (raging on forums while fun just tells me you'll be back, the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference).

I feel similarly to this post. PoE has some serious issues right now but those have more to do with balance than with players who follow the meta formulas for building characters and farming maps not getting as many returns as they used to. I don't care too much about league mechanics, honestly, as my fun is derived from character building rather than loot maximization strategies. That's why I'm poor in-game, of course, but at least I don't have to do what everyone else is doing.
We're all in this leaky boat together, people.
Seriously OP, you need to go away and stop posting this BS over and over again. First 3 paragraphs of your post are full of unsubstantiated and subjective claims, generalization and hasty conclusions.

Sure, things has changed and you can't play the way you played in last league or league before that. That is reality, you either adapt or move on.

Yes, you can not abuse sextants or running literally endless number of Vault maps to gain riches way faster than anyone sane know was intended. Yes, you can not do that anymore. Go and find next mechanic to abuse if you crave so much after "creative and smarter playing than others".

I have not read your full post because once you whined about items being cheaper in Bestiary league than in previous leagues because you believe currency drops are lower and you can't craft as much items I just could not continue. The amount of BS whine was too overwhelming, it sucked all the joy and will to continue reading your post.
There's way too much framing in there to convince you're actually looking for a discussion rather than pushing your agenda down our throat.

Hope you can still find some enjoyment in poe.
Perception is reality.
Your post was very well written and hit the nail on the head regarding all the issues I see currently. Thank you for taking the time to write this. Hope it brings change to the game but I doubt it. :(
This is not my real account. Only used for forum posts. :P
Summed up how I feel OP. Felt this way about the game and GGG for the past 3 leagues. They really are releasing "early access leagues", and why not. People complain about early access games but buy them anyways. At any given time at the top of twitch - Fortnite and PUBG. Consumers are sending a very clear message. GGG has transitioned to incorporate the early access model. It's the consumer who supports it and will even advocate for. Can't just blame the white knights. Quality of games has been diminishing across the board because the players allow it to.

Another thing people seem to have forgotten - the Xbone release. The argument for it at the time was that it would bring in more money for GGG to apply to the main game. 3 years of development paid for by supporters for that, and for what?

GGG used to be praised for not only their communication with their base, but their loyalty. The latter isn't talked about anymore. It's just nostalgia.

I'll still play each league for as long as I'm entertained and haven't found something else that catches my interest, but that time only continues to diminish. Just as the quality of the game continues to diminish.

I am sure his lawyer will get on this right away. Its a game and those were his opinions. He isn't trying to sue anyone.
I miss PT.

Op pretty much hit everything that is being done wrong with poe.Everything he stated needs to be looked at along with trading by GGG.
parasitism of projectPT's dead body...I mean, name ?
pretty disgusting.

ironically, PT would agree with a lot of things you dont agree with

things like currency/mapping 'nerfs'

last time Ive checked, he certainly wasnt an instant gratification fan. the game being grindy or content being gated, was never a problem he expressed. neither was mods or other stuff non-pertaining to the game.

why don't you let the late great veteran live ?

and yes, he was right, but not about [most of] the stuff youre talking about.

I watched his stream a lot he hated map sustainability (or lack of more to the point). His point was the game was too easy not that you should be bored while playing it.
