Hardest build to die with in Hardcore?
|
For a relatively new player that has never mapped about T5, what's the hardest build to die with in hardcore? Like, one where you gotta be REALLY REALLY trying to die, even better if the build is cheap and a good starter? I looked at the forum builds and I liked the mana guardian thing with a ton of ES and regen but it's too expensive, any other good suggestions?

Juggernaut is pretty good at staying alive. If you're willing to run from a tough fight, you'll rarely encounter anything that will kill you.
Last league I did an Ice Crash build that was quite successful by my standards... made it into high tier maps and accomplished pretty much everything I set out for him to do. There isn't any build in the game that can simply fight all foes down. You have to know what's going to kill you and be willing to pass. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on Mar 22, 2018, 1:40:09 PM

All the "unkillable" builds you will get suggestions for will still rip in the wrong situation. Personally I had most success with rf totems.

some of the tanky totem builds have the best survivability if you ask me
what shags said is true in that the JUGG is the most tanky character but totem guys can be pretty tanky as well and they rarely get attacked if you play right so I give them the edge in over all survivability I dont see any any key!

Necromancer specter builds with MoM or totems.

I don't recommend totems for a new player. You wont learn the skills needed to play other character types.

Juggernaut, Endurance Charges, Attack Speed, Leech, lots of life seems to be good cheap formula for a "tank" (although you can't really face tank everything in POE without extreme builds).

Jugg RF is probably the closest thing you can get to immortal. I survived a detonate dead on a Rouge Exile (pretty sure it was the exile) in a T14 with 49% monster life. It chunked 8K of my 9k health, but I survived. I can't imagine any other build surviving that.
For beginners, though, Sunder. Sunder or specter Summoner. |

Honestly I feel way more comfortable with high regen builds then I do with leech nowadays.
My SSF RF Juggernaut feels like the tankiest character i have ever made in this game an he doesn't leech at all. I could convert him to melee, go full regen and probably feel equally as tanky. Nothing beats being able to walk over traps, and other weird degens this game seems to throw at you, and not feel anything at all. Very strong and satisfying once you get it all up and running. The new Jugg is just so damn strong though... pretty much any build where you can stack life with that level of mitigation is going to be super strong. Champion is also good if you go like totems or something because the Taunt is so ridiculous. |
