Hello, ive never played VD build and i would like to know what is considered a good dps per ball ?

What flasks do you run while clearing? Which ones do you swap out for boss-specific flasks?

My Elementalist that died, according to POB had 28k per ball, not counting the penetration and Wise Oak from the 3 heralds, t15 bosses are a joke for her.

My Hiero now has 20k with Arcane Surge up. With 3 more levels and a 5link Lorewave, i'm going for around 23k. and 26k with the level 20 gems.

For a confortable Red Elder fight i think around 30-40k its enough.

Also, since im using a CDR belt, i have much more balls casted when attacking, the helm enchant add's a lot of damage.

Depends on what you're trying to do. You can comfortably clear maps with as little as 7-8k per ball, but you want more for endgame bosses. The best way to do it is just to do the math of 4x balls per cast, 4x casts per second...or 16x your tooltip for dps assuming you have the helm enchant. 20k damage per ball = about 320k dps, which isn't shabby at all. Your real dps will vary from that a bit based on flasks, corpse availability, and if you have Immortal Call in your pen, but it should give you a general idea.

So something like 100k + Per Ball is actually very very good ? (dont have enchant - too expensive)

what? you all get those dmg numbers in pob? or tooltip ingame? because i feel like i sucks if its tooltip.

DAMN im so low on dmg, can someone check wth im doing wrong? i have 9k dmg in pob.

I don't know where you got 100k from. That would be insanely high damage.

You're at 9k ish dmg per ball but that's before penetration. It's actually higher (value depending on boss/shaper/regular mob)
Also, it appears clear mind isn't working in pob (at least, I don't see it added into the calculations) so it's probably also higher.

However, your jewels are kind of subpar.

Don't get chaos damage, your scaling for that is not great.
Also, switch some out for some % dmg like spell, area, generic. You have a lot of flat already and % scaling will most likely be better (I tested with single mod % spell jewel and it increased dmg no matter what rare jewel I swapped).

Also, keep in mind, damage numbers are relative. If you do like t1 vs t10 maps, your damage number doesn't matter as long as it does enough damage.
If you're mapping, fire penetration isn't as good as a regular spell more multiplier support, since regular mobs already have low resistance (0?).

Edit: Also, remember there are theoretically two set ups, a single target which would ideally be set up with 2 supports and a mapping set up with one support

This is my current setup. Note that i added Arcane surge on the Vd links because POB its not working properly. Current at 28k damage per ball without any flasks.

I wanna buy a Helm enchanted so bad, but they are expensive as fuck right now on BHC and a nice damage upgrade for me is going to be Xophs Blood, my damage is going to ~37k with the enemies covered in Ash.

When i get Xophs, i'm going to change most of my gear, including the Harbinger belt that i love using cause i will need resists and attack speed gloves.

I did almost all the content so far with this gear, including most twinned t15's, Guardians and Shaper. Trying to spawn a t15 Elder now.
