This link represents this new league pretty well, first they show you an innovative scenario where you can have fun and then, they screw it up by burning your cpu Last edited by Nerd900#1344 on Mar 4, 2018, 6:04:45 PM

We know it was recently revealed that some top people at GGG are also owners of some of the rmt sites. So we know why there are so many mirrors in new leagues even though they never drop. 1 person in my guild of 100 people for example have seen a mirror drop in the last 5 years.
Now with this recent cpu and gpu problem it makes me wonder. Are they using our pc's to mine crypto currency? |

" Diablo II had the same exact problem. Hell, the devs even created an app for these rmt sites to make items on the fly in real time as they were ordered from buyers. It wasn't widely known to the general population, but many people who setup farm bots knew about it. It literally ruined the game. Now it's happening here. (maybe it's been going on for awhile, but secrets like this can't be kept secret for too long, someone will eventually get drunk and spill the beans to someone else) I brought this very concept (rmt sites) up in global chat over 2 years ago and, as predicted, the sycophants jumped in defense of GGG saying there is no way they can monitor these sites!! LMFAO! Only way to solve it is for Chris (he maybe in on it as well) to have a surprise code audit from an independent software security firm. And prosecute those involved for fraud and embezzlement. As soon as Wolcen goes beta, I'm out of here. |

Everyone needs to email support and tell them about the problem. I got a response just now so they must have a big backlog of emails to get through. The more people that email about this problem the more likely it is to get fixed!

" I knew they were doing it years ago as well, the numbers just don't add up. When you take cw's rmt record from d2 into account its quite obvious who is behind it all. |

" Well this is weard i just turned on VSync... it was disabled before, now at login screen i get 9% cpu usage 40% at town and 39% at my HO.After that i turned of my VSync and the cpu jumped again at full cpu load. |

I confirm too the abnormal cpu use.
I could understand a huge cpu use if framerate was better, stability better or anything better but it's not the case. At all. So, there is a problem with ggg's code running on our computers. And with recents news about RMT related to ggg (yeah, you needed money, yeah the guy behind RMT website may not be involved anymore with RMT, yeah he said that to CW), i'm not very confident anymore about ggg and CW (trust matters a bit). Cryptocurrency mining on PC without explicite consent of their owners is renpent in the internet and many apps and websites have been caught (and flamed) to do that (gpu use would gives more power but could be seen more easily in a videogame), so ... hopefully, gg ggg's devs will resolve the issue tomorrow or soon. Waiting for a fix or explanation (i'm not an alpha tester for the new leagues, i'm not a crypto minner, i don't need to burn my cpu). Thx ggg Last edited by DarkJPA#5164 on Mar 4, 2018, 8:04:27 PM

Yesterday, I had two warnings midgame for CPU overheating both at 85 degrees or so. I logged off immediately and could not go on. The fans on my case are working like crazy and I hope this is fixed asap before I lose my patience. I have quited a lot of things in the past few months and held on to PoE, but I m an experienced quiter :))

" They are keeping very quiet on this subject. Would we be able to tell with network traffic monitoring or are they just using us as remote processing and routing all the traffic through GGG's servers? This would not only explain the crazy cpu usage but also the high latency and latency spikes. Does anybody know how they are doing it ? |
