Crazy cpu usage after update.
Same here, since yesterday's hotfixes, my cpu usage is skyhigh and stays at max even when I'm alt-tabbed out of the game.

i'm having the same issues, since the 3.2 update my CPU usage has been through the roof, it was usually around 30/40% in 3.1 now consistently in the 80/90's
please find a fix. |

Hello,im getting crazy cpu and gpu usage, saw it after i noticed some weird(burn) smell comming from my computer...Why is ggg not giving any respond to this issue? Some ppl may lose their pcs like this...

Don't use path of exile now guys, my friend can't use his pc anymore, cause poe burned his cpu, i'm not even kidding unfortunatelly.
Even another friend that has a 1500dollars pc, has like 60% usage on cpu, but since he has a high performance pc, he doesn't notice the stuttering for example, but you know, 60% is not close to normal for a crazy pc. GGG should make an announcement or make a good maintenance and put the servers down, cause some people make seriously break their hardware for a game. |

Since we still haven't even received acknowledgement of these issues on behalf of GGG, let me try speaking in a language that they understand.
I will NOT be buying any more supporter packs until all of this is sorted out, I can't justify handing out money for a game that is damaging CPU's and making the game unplayable for a large portion of the player base. Fix the issues, get my money. That shouldn't be too hard for you guys, right? | |
Ye fuck GGG, they take the piss.
Fucking up our pc's and all they can do is release more gambling boxes and some bullshit nets, wtf!! Time to remove your heads from your anus's GGG. No more money from me either. |

What CPU/GPU are you guys running?
I don't normally monitor usage, but I'm seeing 60% in town and 40% usage outside of town on an i5 7600K @ 4.2GHz. Regarding the system damage: while it's not ideal for your gaming experience to have your CPU maxed out, there's nothing inherently wrong with high CPU usage. Your CPU is designed to shut off before it gets so hot that it is damaged: if your PC is shutting down then you either have an unstable overclock or inadequate cooling (or both). Not saying there isn't an issue but it's unlikely they will fix it on a Saturday/Sunday right after a launch. |

I've been having that CPU problem since the league start, game freezing, getting disconnected all the time, can't run poe with lower then 95% CPU usage did anyone get any response from GGG about it?

Same processor as you Aixius, same issues higher load in towns outside it drops into the 40s just for PoE by itself. 1070 gtx as gpu to.
I agree while it might not damage your system outright, it is effectively like running some super intensive cpu and gpu game which PoE really isn't. For example I can run vermintide 2 on max settings and only see 30% cpu usage max, its quite graphically intensive and has alot of physics stuff going on when your lobbing limbs off ratmen and chaos warriors. Atm its like PoE is demanding a gaming rig equivilent to run the old crysis games, which is outright silly considering last league I barely got above 35% usage from PoE. Its disgusting that GGG spam the game with blue txt "important message" about their fix to their failed league mechanic , but don't acknowledge, in game or even on their own forum, a serious problem like this.
They should be warning people in game to check temps and stop playing until they do a fix if they see high temps. |
