You are also assuming they don't get a CC somehow which is wrong because they do get them.

Again, unless they have their parents' credit cards, which assumes parental supervision, or unless they're committing theft, in which case gambling is kind of the least of our worries.

Here is an article. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/01/17-year-old-uses-his-dads-credit-card-to-spend-7600-playing-fifa

Another.

I am not trying to win some forum battle. I really just want to inform people about what is going on. Obviously, that article is an extreme case but it proves my point. And again, gambling should not be allowed unless you are 21 or older. Even then, it should be regulated so it doesn't screw over people. GGG does a good job and making the boxes relatively fair, but some video game companies do not. Also, GGG's boxes are still not as fair as they say they are because the chances and odds change after your first box because of duplicates.

I reject your argument because that's not how statistics works. Good try though.
How many articles do you want me to list? Just google it. It happens all the time.

This one is information about what to do if you kids spend your money without you knowing.

This one talks about the thousands of parents that have had this problem. Thousands.

Quote from the article:
"
Those questions gained higher visibility January 2014 when the Federal Trade Commission ordered Apple to pay out a minimum of $32.5 million to reimburse parents for unauthorized mobile app purchases made by their kids.

Amurica, the land where 8y olds are allowed to shoot guns, but a 17y old can't be held responsible for stealing a CC.

Haha yeah. It is pretty funny.
It's your daddy's money anyway. It's not like you worked for it.

It is BS.. GGG would make TONS more $$$ if they make MTX tradeable, just sayn...

They would probably lose more sales of people figuring they can just buy MTX with in game currency.
There is nothing wrong with gambling, and about young kids using CC to buy things. That's just bad parenting. You want the government to step in every aspect of your life? Gambling is bad so I want the government to make it illegal. I don't want to take responsibility for my shitty parenting so I want the government to step in and mitigate possible consequences. If a kid is old enough to understand how to use a CC to pay for something but doesn't realize stealing from their parents is wrong you really fucked up as a parent I'm sorry. And even if your kid is that way why are you allowing them access to those things? It's like getting mad a dog for biting someone because the owner let them outside without supervision/leash.

It's fine to criticize and tell GGG that you hate the lootboxes, but it's not OK to say it should be illegal.

Actually wouldn't they make more money? You would basically be allowing RMT in your own game.

Player one has 100 exalts
Player two has microtransaction that costs $20.00.

Player one gives player two 100 exalts and player two gives them a microtransaction worth $20.00.

Player two buys another micro transaction and sells for another 100 exalts. He can do this all day. This would be RMT in game :) It would increase sales of micro transactions but obviously I don't think GGG wants RMT to happen in their game.

Hard to say, from my perspective I would just sellout after I get bored in a league and never buy MTX again. I'm a bit tempted to actually buy some of the new mtx right now. But i play a lot so maybe more casual players who won't be able to acquire a huge currency base each league might use their credit card to get a leg up on currency in game.

Thinking about it more im probably wrong, and ya they would sell more MTX and there would be a hit even if only a small one to the current RMT.

But i wonder how it would effect the in game economy, in games like arche age with official RMT in game currency is worth substantially more when there is more demand for it a lot of supply via what would be MTX in this game. But it can also crash the currency and make it so you have to RMT to compete at all. As in it could drive up prices of items in games for regular players not taking part in this.
