I don't mind spending money to support games I enjoy playing. I actually prefer subscription models but games are moving away from that revenue stream in favor of spiky streams fueled by impulse purchases. I'm adapting to the fact that my characters in these games will always resemble thrift store heroes in their mismatched generic outfits. I'll be purchasing a pack this weekend in order to take advantage of the stash tab sale. I find value in those purchases. However, it will be a cold day in Hell before I spend $60 on a set of armor or even one penny on a fucking gambling box. The vast majority of cosmetic purchases in this game are hilariously overpriced. I'd rather let points sit than spend them on a $30 hat. Of course, I'd rather pay a subscription fee and find/farm/craft that stuff as part of playing the game but that will never happen. There are two types of POE players: 1) Those who want to walk uphill both ways barefoot on broken glass wearing a blindfold 2) F*cking noobs I identify as transnational Chinese.
