[Suggestion] Button "hide players mtx"
Yeah well i noticed many just standing and flashing there players. They do some shit to my PC. Maby after like 15 minutes of AFK automat disconnect? Because those characters do some hard calculating that do DC to me.

I wouldn't mind other players MTX affecting my gameplay experience if they could have some taste. It seems people just throw on the most random garish shit available. MTX is just an excuse to display bad taste.

" Same for me. I fully support 'hide mtx button' request. I also getting disconnected every time i load town after 10+ minutes out of town (or every time i join arena with few or more players). retired from forum because of censorship and discrimination (also poe2 bad) Last edited by DivineChampion#3546 on Jan 2, 2018, 11:27:16 AM

" I'm in support for this. Though my laptop is a faking potato (Acer windows 10 with a pathetic 4GB) I am still able to get consistent FPS and latency enough to play through the game even through Dominus and with Kitava in both fights (minus a few deaths, either my own idiocy or not in my control here and there but I'm not doing HC for quite some time so no matter.) However, anytime and everytime I've loaded into towns, the people who mass equip MTXs and are either afking around town or loading in as I am does reduce my latency stability incredibly. Though sometimes I'm still able to load in, it takes several "Not Responding" minutes before its done and sometimes it's a gamble between immediate Desync or finally loading in. (And yes, I'm quite sure I've disabled and closed any por(programs) before opening the game, having only 4GB does teach you resource management which is a lovely thing to learn) Even by this post's time, I have a browser with about 6 tabs up and used as a character build guide (including this forum's page) and have the game on at the same time, with a consistent FPS of 20-30 while my Latency is jiggling between 45 and 32. This alone tells me that it is not my laptop doing anything that consists to many of the nay-sayer's complaints about "shitty pcs" and whatnot. Honestly, I don't really find myself impressed by the MTXs. As I've been through several other games that deal with cosmetics
Spoiler
(cough cough Warframe's got better fashion than any of you cough cough)
And it really doesn't convince nor impress me of anything of those who demand everyone to look how "shiny" they are, it just points out the attention thirsty imo (similar to the ppl who commented here saying they want to show off their silly little bling blings like a kid who caught a snake and is about to show it to their easily squeamish mother.) Personally, I would rather a button that hides other players period. However, merely hiding the MTXs would be helpful as is. Anyone who has better connection that can withstand other peoples "bling bling" is welcome to ignore the button, and quite frankly I couldn't care less if they want to or not. On an offhand note, stop being a self-entitled tit, The_Scourge. Not everyone is able to afford nor owns the highest range of desktops of PCs being run by the ghosts of dead Microsoft programmers and engineers, and just because a few complain doesn't outweigh those who don't doesn't mean they shouldn't make complaints in the first place. Some of those players don't even check the forums (Hell, I was barely aware there was a forums until i nosed around for builds at 2015. And that's not my problem.) Also, really? "This is what anyone who downloaded the game signed up for."? That's exactly what EA (not word for word but what they meant) replied to Star Wars Battlefront 2 players who had problems with the lootcrate system, and 2 guess how well that went. TL;DR Yes I want this to happen, Yes ik MTXs are "a sense of pride and accomplishment," No my potato-y laptop isn't doing this, No my internet isn't entirely doing this, No my ISPs aren't completely at fault and I should be seeing them in court for it, No it's not my fault for any reason because blaming me or others seems totally acceptable amongst other PoE players. I don't have a problem with the MtX in town, I have a computer and an internet connection that can handle it. I want to be able to show my MtX that i paid for.
now before calling me an entitled tit, think about this... why did you ask to remove all MtX so your inferior setup can handle it instead of asking GGG to optimize it and make sure that if you have the minimum requirements, the MtX would not be an issue? it's a win win situation. who is self entitled that GGG should cater to them and them only instead of as many people as possible? you want your computer to handle the MtX and I want to show my MtX. why can't we have both? |

after some thinking i actually like the feature.
if it only affects stuff from mtx boxes, cheap league challenge/race rewards and stuff bought for a reduced amount of support money. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

Upgrade to Windows 10 == problem solved, lag and DC.
The game is not optimized for older versions. I had Windows 7 with GTX 980 Ti and lagged on minimum settings. In Windows 10 it's running smoothly. Good luck. |

" I did not say that I wanted MtXs removed entirely. Only the option to hide them, so it's on the players and it's their problem if they want to see it or not. I don't have a problem with you wanting to show what you paid for, you're showing support and that's something worthwhile to show off. But as far as I've seen, GGG hasn't done much to listen to us (both reasonable and unreasonable) or at least not as much as some other devs have or haven't. DX11's still glitched and bugged af, DX9's the only optimal setting to really play PoE, 64-bit's more bugged than DX11 and despite efforts on our end and as much as we've seen from GGG, desync's still rampant. Besides that, I'm so used to playing either alone or getting through maps that I usually don't pay attention to other people's MtXs, and it's possible I'm not the only one who does that. Personally, I'm not deaf dumb and blind, Squall. I know better than just throw insults like candy on Halloween just because someone's got different pov. Not saying this for myself, I'm asking it for the people on the lower spectrum of the PC requirements, and I'm asking politely. |

" problem is your hard drive. upon loading into town or a hideout , you have to download tons of assets that were not already loaded. having a slow hard drive causes the game to time out while loading, causing the crash. if you can afford a small ssd (100gb is enough), i would highly recommend it, as it removed 99.9% of my crashes. You do not need to have your os on this drive for poe either. |
