[Suggestion] Button "hide players mtx"

With this I agree for the most part, but I think there is legitimate pride in having some closed beta pet to show off, to say 'I was there supporting this game when so many others were not'.

It's all moot though and anyone with half a brain knows it. Aesthetic mtx sales keep the game afloat; people likely to buy aesthetic mtxes like to show them off, and have every right to do so. Remove that and you can guarantee sales would drop.

This is what anyone who downloaded the game signed up for. As long as it's not a widespread problem, which it clearly isn't, this is on the user, not GGG. One or two posts here and there complaining about mtx-related performance drops and crashes are not going to outweigh the thousands of players logging in daily not complaining about mtx-related performance drops and crashes.

Not saying it can't be fixed, but the OP's proposal is 100% unrealistic from any but the most selfish of perspectives.

I realize that for most people showing off would be the reason to buy MXTs, I'm just stating that for me personally, I wouldn't care if others can or cannot see mine. I can understand that it can be annoying, because I have the biggest, flashiest pets and effects for my characters. I just like to make themed outfits that suit the build I'm playing, like this one below, a Wild Strike build.

the game client has a logfile, did you look there after the client crashed?
try getting a ssd or defragment your hdd.
check your resource file (start packcheck.exe in the install dir from a command prompt)
did you post your problem in the bug report section and attached a dxdiag report so devs can lookup your hardware configuration and driver versions for problems?

although the argument that ggg has to promote mtx is weakened with every temp league where they give away those mtx for players for free, i don't think that they ever implement tech that hides them.

If you're having problems like you're describing, it's your computer. Theirs little argument to be had here. I've ran PoE on single core processors with gtx 270's with good frame rate and med graphics, so I agree, go down to best buy and buy a new computer.

/bump to: iterate the fact that the OP undercuts their own argument that 'they're crashing a lot' every time they post and show just how much they *can* play;

highlight that this sort of thing will be better handled in Tech Support, although there are no guarantees there either;

Note that the OP was the first to go very hostile on anyone who tried to provide a logical angle explaining why 'hide players mtxes' will never be a thing, and never stopped being hostile;

remind people that bugs are rarely caused by what's directly in front of your eyes. That other thread does indicate there's a DC issue with zoning, but I didn't see it then spin off into a frankly crazy theory that it's the mtxes at the root of the issue. GGG are far more likely to fix what's causing it than they are to simply give all players an option to neuter that which generates the company the vast bulk of their revenue, simply because a minuscule portion of the player base might be having some correlated problems with zoning into mtx/graphics heavy zones.

In other words, the onus is on GGG to fix whatever's causing this rather than to slap a bandaid on what might be a rash, which wouldn't help anyone.

And couching your argument in the irrational idea that 'it's the mtxes!' is not helping anyone. That title does not in any way, shape or form encourage a dev to open the thread expecting something they can do much about.

second: provide me "logical angel", i saw only "its never gonna happen because op selfish, mtx sales keep the game afloat", explain how this button can kill this game?
