Frame rate stuttering since 3.1
@SabreWolfy: I had it set to disabled when poe is launched and I manually disabled it until sunrise but that didn't change anything, so I completely quit the program.
Also I set it from windowed fullscreen to fullscreen back to windowed fullscreen (as I always play in windowed fullscreen mode). my game runs at stable 100+ fps since then (it only slows down on big hordes of mobs and because of molten strike lol)
I found a temporary fix for this issue by DELETING THE ENTIRE SHADER CACHE before running the game, and setting a shortcut to run as x64 and specifically running as admin.
Try it, it may help you. Give me feedback if this fixed your issue |

" This doesnt work for me i am going to try disabling flux which seems to be creating problems for alot of things. However ive never had problems with other games which have alot higher requirements then PoE i cant wrap my head around how can this game spike soo hard when i play assassins creed wow crisys 3 gta V and a ton of new games at max fps with no spikes what so ever...
I ran into the same problem since the latest update, I6600K + GTX 1060 GB, worked fine before the update, now major stuttering. Tried every solution presented here. Deleting the shader cache worked temporarily, but the real fix was to set the networking client mode to "Predictive". I've got a 70MB up/5MB down connection, so maybe something changed in the net code between the versions. https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Networking_mode

" Could be. You should do the WinMTR diagnostics in the sticky thread while this is happening, and post the results in a new thread. After all, a change in GGG code is possible, but so is damage to the wire between you and your ISP coincidental to the update. |

" ^^ This fixed for me, hiatus since 3.0 but returning to 3.1.2 even login screen had 20-25fps. I did the above and this worked. Vysnc on so back to 60fps! Thanks.
" God bless you, Exile! Thank you! It helped!
I just fixed this issue (for me anyway) tonight. Before I had dips from 120fps down to as low as 30s. Anyway, I just enabled Shader Cache in the Nvidia Control Panel. Seems simple, I know. But it worked. No more crazy dips. I think the CPU was just struggling with all the shaders. *I DID NOT DELETE MY SHADER CACHE*
SSD i5 4690k @ 4.6ghz GTX 1060 6GB 16GB DDR3 @ 1800mhz Dx11 2160p Shadows - low Lighting - low Textures - High Water - low Trilinear Filtering No in-game VSync (I use Fast in Nvidia Control) Dynamic Res Disabled
" Works for me too but i need to do it once per day.
I do not sure when it started but when i came back to play the league i found out i have some stuttering in poe (and only in poe)
A week before the league win10 told me that my build (1607) will not be supported anymore and i need to update so i did. Now i have 1709 and everything works fine but poe.
Spoiler
Sometimes my fps just drops to 30, sometime it stays there for some time like a flatline. My gpu/cpu is ~30% loaded at max and i see no increase in gpu/cpu/disk or internet usage during these spikes. God knows what i have not tried to do. old nvidia drivers(85.69), new nvidia drivers(90.77), shader cache is on by default, dvr is disabled, windowed optimization on/off, tcp flush etc. I tried everything that people suggested in this thread. nvidia forums have a 212 page long thread how creators update broke games for many people, guess i am one of them |
