Grouping with summoners is absolutely ridiculous

In one of the ARPGs i played they had little zombie dogs,i guess that would be better then to have human skeletons or human zombies. This way you would be able to see bigger monsters.
Playing the most OP build but cry nerf on poor summoners .. some ppl have no shame...

If we ever meet ingame remind me to get Flame Sentinels and put Arctic Breath on my totem, tia ;)

The point of this thread was to provide a playable environment whilst partying with summoners so lets try to keep it on course :)

The suggestions to make summons ethereal is a great one (possibly with a slider mechanic so you could change how visible they should be).

In the same vein there should be an option to turn down the spell details, one for your spells and one for your party members, this will keep the 'epic feel' of blasting hordes of mobs while allowing you to not get blinded by the wall of ERMEGERDMYEYES produced by 6 people AoEing in all directions(because they can't actually see what's going on).

I'm sure there are many other solutions and tweeks, but these would be a start.
There seems to be, atleast to me, a very simple fix for this.

Display Option -> Show Minions On/Off/Mine Only.

Lets people who don't want to see them turn them off, lets other summoners group with other summoners without having any issues. No need for nerfs please. Just balancing and smart thought out changes.

That won't work as minions will come in your way while moving from one place to another.
Well this thread is pointless. Kick the summoners that is your right in your party but to ask for game change that is silly.
"May those who accept their fate be granted happiness.
May those who defy their fate be granted glory."

The real problem is over casting.

Sometime people don't understand. And i think people who don't should get kicked.

If a summoners is in a full game there's NO point at all to summon 24+ summons.

A smart summoner in a 'group' only summons enough to keep him safe and control the fight. And maybe a 1 or 2 specters for some nice DPS.

While playing alone, hey. GO NUTS! The more summons the better. But to many summons in group play actually slows the party down. Thats a bad summoner.

@OP,

I represent Local 666, Necromancer's Union. In response to your QQ about our undead friends, we've prepared an official statement from the FU (Friends of Undead) League just for you:

"Piss off with suggesting to nerf us."

That is all.

The Pope quit, a meteor fell on Russia, an
asteroid came close to the earth, there's snow
in Arizona, star wars and star trek have the
same director! Who the hell is playing jumanji?
Lev 80 summoner hear.I remember my whole party screaming at me during the Piety Fight on Merc becasue Piety was on a rampage teleporting to each of my 20 plus minions making it impossible for the other players to even target her! LoL ! I found it rather ammusing though and realised that day that all summoners would be frowned upon in groupplay .Good thing the loot system is absolute garbage in multiplayer or I would actually care about other's feeling's but this is not the case at all. I got bored super fast playing d3 solo but this game there is a exception. Solo play in Poe is fcking awsome when the game is running correctly !
Funny thing as a summoner I never have people bitch at me when I help them through a quest they are stuck on. Over the years in every game all I ever hear is this one or that one is OP nerf them. WTF POE has many ways to play you play yours Ill play mine. Get off my sister.

On a side note I have tried several classes in POE. I have found the summoner is not too badly effected by Desync. The server is so confused by all the minions it doesn't know whether to shit or go blind. Also I dont have to play the stack HP game since I rarely get hit. Maybe Im not that great of a player. Whatever. Plus the summoner is kinda fun.

Cheers
