the changes (nerf) to 'mob density' is terrible.
Even stuff like packsize rolled indoor maps like crypt and scriptorium has really streaky density, its not fun. Lab is a chore
Delve / Harbinger / Incursion / Delirium best leagues. |

" Reimur: even though you're wrong, why would you have faith in diamond supporters? you're talking about a group of people that are so autistic that they would spend 1000 dollars on pixels. we're almost the most idiotic group of people in this community. second to hardcore players.

Trying to be honest and fair here.
Pros: - lvling feels fresh - new content - mini map - mtx system Cons: - introduced new currency. For the love of god - stop it GGG! There is enough currency in the game, dont add new league specific nonsense currency, just to create even messier stash tabs and nerf the spawn rates of said league specific thing into the ground after the league. - unfinished or unpolished content everywhere (I know that contracts and schedules exist, but you should have delayed the release or at the very least NOT stack 3 releases in rapid succession.) - "lazy" last minute balancing decisions (like boss hp. increasing HP is fine as long as you do the finetuning to avoid unfair bosses and increase the rewards at the same time) - gutting ES way more than needed - boring league mechanic (which is kinda ok, they invested efforts elsewhere. but man this league IS rly boring) - nerfing density (Seriously GGG, that one is beyond bad. If you wanted to slow to xp pushers or loot drops, do it then. Dont screw everyone else by creating empty ghost maps. Thats not fun at all) - performance issues, DCs and friends (game never felt this unstable to my knowledge) - 3.0 beta was handled poorly and felt like a scam. If you sell access to a beta, at least have the dignity to listen to the provided feedback and leave a note like "Thanks for your feedback" - stuff like that. Let your testers know they didnt waste their time and money. And more importantly: Do not introduce major changes 2 weeks prior to launch. There is no way testers could thoroughly test it, provide feedback, wait for fixes and test again - in 2 weeks! Cmon thats unreasonable. - creating a stale meta I want to see dead as soon as possible - bad communication. GGG failed to explain changes or provide a vision for future goals. There is no way the community can get behind unpopular changes and support them, if you dont explain why it had to happen or what you want to achieve. To sum up my cons: 3.0 feels absolutely rushed and unpolished. Its not beyond repair, but it will take time/resources and leaves a rather bad first impression on many first timers or players that came back after a break. It was a ballsy move to develop a xbox port, I respect that and wish you the best of luck - I really do. You´ll need some luck because obviously you wanted to achieve too much for the resources you had at hand. I dont even want to know how many tickets are right now in your bug tracking tool waiting to be fixed. Pretty sure a 4 digit number wont do it - all releases/versions combined. Cheers |

Got an addon to my previous post, its whining on reddit and forums. I can just freely read thread titles without participating in thread and I'll be able to predict all the arguments that appear in those threads/topics. So boring and lack of creative whining.

" I ain't got time for that shit. There's a reason I don't play leagues, because I was sick of restarting characters years ago in PoE. No, what they should have done is actually give a shit about standard players and write code instead of hit their keyboard with a hammer to figure out how to deal with legacy progression. But they were far too busy trying to sell to a whole new market to give a shit about the one they already are in. "We're pilgrims in an unholy land."

I wasn't talking about leagues. I made a new char on standard as Oriath launched, cos i wanted to make one anyway so i just timed it the with the release. I mean you only play 1 character?

I really liked the new acts and leveling felt smoother. Love the new mini map and MTX system.
However....the massive nerf to monster density is inexcusable. The whole purpose of games like this is to kill monsters. I've had a few maps where i went through room after room with nothing. Is that supposed to be fun? Had a Shaped Strand map with <10 packs. Seriously, WTF? Also not excited over Harbinger League. The mechanics got boring very quickly. If Leagacy/Leaguestones had been put into Standard, I would be playing there instead of the new league. |
