We don't have capitalism thats for sure. Or those banks wouldnt have been bailed out for 2+ trillion. They would have failed as capitalism demands.

Prior to FDR (the worst president ever) I would have agree with you. But since then we've gone away from capitalism to socialism more and more every year.

Only thing thats not causing total collapse into Venezuela is our dollars still has value even printing over 1 trillion a year out of thin air. Basically we are living on capitalism legacy.

China is more capitalist than us. If my family wasnt here I'd move to China in a heartbeat. They grow at 10% a year even during crash. They will be superior militarily and tech wise in 20 years. After all they went from dirt farmers to parity in 30 years by adopting capitalism. China and east asia in general are the future.

USA and her citizens is in for a reckoning with reality soon and living on borrowed time (and money). Socialism, deabeatism, and competition will destroy us IMO. We'll be reborn but not before a Mad Max style reckoning with reality.

I wish it were that simple. I think anyone thinking that way knows that the favor of a madman is fickle as fuck. No, I genuinely believe the crazy runs deep and strong and has long been seeping into the red, white and blue veins of a country born of Manifest Destiny.

As for China, you're sort of right and sort of not. Not all the relocations from rural areas are forced. My dad's village went from fully populated in 1993 to a ghost town by 2008. Mostly it was people moving away looking for work. Needless to say, the 'nearby' city, Siu Hing (Zhaoqing), went from idyllic to overcrowded and violently polluted in the same time frame.

What I never understood was this: after my first visit in 1993 but before my last in 2008, the village itself gained better infrastructure -- working toilets, a new school, better access roads...it was REALLY weird. I'm guessing that was just make-work, per the usual socialist methodology.
