Reliquary key is too rare
" Point is the Key doesn't need to be so rare the drops that come from the chest is what dictates the results. Like i said you can find 100 of those keys and the chances are pretty good that you will come out with 100 lvling and vendor uniques and MAYBE if your lucky one decant item... Maybe. Bigger the population of course as you mention the more keys found the more uniques obtained. Out of all those ofcourse some people are going to hit the jackpot. Again the vast majority will not... No matter how many keys they find. So just like everything else sought after in this game if you want one of those OP Legacy items you'll have to buy them. No different than any other item in the game. So again the key being rare isnt the issue nor should it be rare. The results from the chest are obviously weighted exactly the same as all other uniques. So everytime you open the chest its the equivalent of you dropping a random unique and you know what those look like already. You have to drop litteraly hundreds maybe even thousands of uniques to see some of the best uniques in the game and that chest is no different. If the keys are made more rare on top of this the what the hell is the point of even having them in the first place? At Least you can have some excitement when you open at that slim to nothing chance it might just be a good item. Make the keys even more rare just makes it that much more disappointing. And furthermore i'm quite sure if the market does begin to flood with the good items GGG will simply tweak the rates on the chest and turn the faucet off. More people are playing than ever before for of course more good items are entering the market. That also means more people wanting those items so the prices will still be outrageous. The average player will still never be able to afford them. There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation. The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear. The only argument from dropping more keys is simply to protect standard's economy which is dead at the moment anyways. What's the issue with dropping broken items into a league where everything is supposed to be broken anyways?

" Not sure about how weighted they are, I just know that some really good items have already been dropped and shown. The rarity is of a course a combination of the key drop + the probability to get a good legacy out of it. Maybe having keys a bit rares and chances to get a good items a bit better would feel better ? idk. But considering how broken some items are .... better have them really rare imho. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Mar 6, 2017, 10:30:47 PM

" It makes no sense to reintroduce items that literally broke the game and then just make them ultra rare for no reason. That just means only those who can afford multiple reliquary keys or who have the insane amount of time to flip/play the game are going to have said game breaking items in a league that isn't even meant to be balanced in the first place. It would be one thing if there was any semblance of balance this league, however GGG essentially enabled cheat codes with things like legacy ToH/Vinktar/Double legacy ROTC/legacy Shavs/Aegis/etc. |
|
" If I recall correctly, GGG originally justified re-introducing those broken af items by the fact that they would be crazy rare. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

And that would be stupid because said items literally break the game anyways, and shouldn't even exist.

So you reintroduce legacy items that literally break the game only to give them to players that are going to get whatever rare item they want anyways. Ok.

I never said that it was a good thing lol.
The most ridiculous part being that they introduced "worse" legacy uniques (apparently), probably so that the actually good ones drop less ..... :/ SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" So lets flood every league possible with broken items. Making them rare sure isn't any way of limiting the availability, no. What in the fuck am I even reading? Are you guys even reading stuff you are posting? Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. | |

the reason why the key drops are rare because they dont want everyone to shoot their wad too soon and be bored with the league two weeks in. the carrot has to be persistent, otherwise the carrot is devalued easily. especially since the carrot has been observed by most players before and is literally not anything new.
