Reliquary key is too rare
|
One of the main selling points of this league was the attempt at getting to the ancient reliquary chest and yet it is possible to get to maps and not find a single key?
I mean, I enjoyed leveling with the leaguestones and I even delayed my progression to enjoy them a little bit - farming splinters, essences and talismans for converting them later - but even with all that extra time and monsters killed I didn't get to find a key. Leveling was a enjoyable experience with the new stones. I like that mechanic because I didn't feel forced to rush to maps right away and I hope it makes into the main game after the league ends, but I am a bit frustrated that actual new content is (again) way too rare. I admit that my atlas is barely starting and that I could push it, trade a little bit and buy a key but honestly I really wanted my first experience with the box to feel natural. I already have 24 hours played. A below average player would probably play for a week to accumulate that many hours and still not find a key. Even when you consider that the average is possibly higher than normal for this type of game Accessing content in this game is already too focused on trading (pale council keys, splinters, guardian fragments, atziri, uber atziri and possibly leaguestones) and I hate to see a entirely new features, which was advertised as part of the 3 month "event", to be so hard to access and experience. This is not like this is breach, where you could taste a little bit of the fights before you actually got the breachstones. The new chest feature that legacy brings is a entirely binary feature. You either going to experience or not. No tasting. There is not even multiple key fragments for you to feel your progression towards it. I wish the key was easier to acquire but with the drops were adjusted to match, so that at least players could get to experience the chest before deciding if they want to go hard into the league and trade for a bunch of extra tries. Reliquary keys are too common.
Legacy items were supposed to be super rare. What a joke .... SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

- Reliquary key is too rare
- Day 3 (4?) of the league - Look up poe.trade - 72 legacy Cloaks of Defiance, 6 Soul Takers, 13 RoTCs, 8 BoRs Too rare. wat Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance. Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. Last edited by Perq#4049 on Mar 6, 2017, 3:43:27 AM

that's how "diminishing returns" normally works:
if people nolife the game they find less good items/hour than people who take their time and only play some hours per day. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

what actual new content ? this is a legacy league, and basically GGG themselves admitted its a filler league in vein of flashback

And so? These were supposed to be super-duper-hyper rare. It is day 3 (4?), and we have piles of these already. And they are not even that expensive.
Imagine what will happen in 2 months. 1c legacy BoR, anyone? Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.

" You know these items were considered OP by developers thus nerfed (for right or wrong), how do you imagine keys could drop like candies? Common sense says it could happen only if PoE had account bound items. With a high drop rate they should just unnerf them all, their legacy status and the reasons behind it won't matter anymore. I personally don't care if key drop rate was high, but it's just illogical. The actual new content is the leaguestones, it's the major selling point of the league. Keys are supposed to spice up the gameplay, but the focus isn't on them. This is a buff © 2016

I have to ask, what is the league called? while I agree that they shouldn't be common but I've seen divines which are supposed to be rare yet no key.
On a more reasonable complaint, brodiro mod needs to be far more common, I haven't seen him. he's like an exalt, you won't see him too much unless you buy him. |

"And that's where you are wrong. There was a quote from Chris that when ggg were deciding on it being either super-rare with super rewards or less rare with different tier rewards, they went for 2nd option. So they weren't supposed to be super-rare... but nevertheless they are. And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
