Constant Disconnect

Game is disconnecting after around 30 sec.

Either way with F1 graphs up I see ping go up to 1100+ mS but MTR does not show same results. I have no issues playing any other online games including Neverwinter, Diablo 3, Grim Dawn, LOL, Paladins. Have optimized settings on my home router (Asus RT-AC5300) but everything I try makes no difference. longest I have managed to stay in-game is less than 1 min. Returning to to this game after a long time away and quite exited to see the new content. Even went as far as supporting the devs by buying a Hydra pack on Tuesday, feel like a total mug now :( Last bumped on Jun 9, 2018, 2:17:35 PM

The portion of your route that concerns me is near the mid point. Specifically these two hops:
| 195.229.0.180 - 0 | 915 | 915 | 4 | 8 | 23 | 10 | | 195.229.2.239 - 0 | 915 | 915 | 125 | 126 | 139 | 126 | These are both on the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation network, and you are seeing a drastic spike in your latency times. Is it normal for you to see in game response times of over 120ms? If not, there could be a problem on your route causing the spikes and disconnects, because it is unusual to see such a large spike in average response time. The problem shows up before your traffic reaches the network layer hops, so it is outside the reach of GGG ( if, in fact, that is your problem ) My bet is that your traffic flows through that rout to get to all the EU gateways. That might explain why you don't see a problem in other applications as well. "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion

Yes, living in UAE the ping to EU game servers is usually in the region 100-130 mS. This is purely the time taken to go through the land/submarine cables to go nearly 5000 Km to Frankfurt/London etc. Not the best routing but its been the same for 16 years living here.
I do have a house in the UK still and when playing from there it is more in the region of 30mS Sux but that is the reality of it. Thanks for the reply. |

Still disconnecting and have not spent more than 2 mins in game without it happening. Meanwhile my soon is playing Overwatch on Xbox One without lag or any issue. WiFi via the same router I am wired to.
I also loaded the game on an old laptop (MSI G60 Stealth) and tested over WiFi - same result. Also testing at the same time and Same WiFi my son is playing LOL and Overwatch. No other game is having an issue so I am totally mystified by this. Doesn't help that I threw $110 at the developer, feeling let down, bemused and still no response to any email sent to GGG Support :( |

Well, if you are sending multiple emails, that's bad. The only thing you are doing is putting your ticket back at the end of the que. Be patient though as they are currently a bit back logged atm. They will get to you.
One thing you may want to look at. When you see your ping go apeshit like that. Open up your client.txt file located in the logs folder in your install dir. Take note of the instance IP address and run a MTR to the specific IP. I'd be interested to see the results, as would GGG. Don't want to hijack this thread but im from Abu Dhabi (UAE) and i'm having the exact issue. So at least you can be relieved it isnt anything wrong with your configuration. Most likely some point in the routing of the connection.
Just to clarify I can play for like 10 seconds and then I get hit with 1000 ms, basically flatlines and disconnects me with unexpected disconnect. Sucks, i'll most likely miss the start of the league because of it. Edit: I too tried to run an MTR for the IP in logs, but i get unable to resolve hostname. Edit 2: I tried the gaming vpn pingzapper (hope its okay to advertise) in the hope that it solves some routing issue and so far it looks good as a temporary fix. 10 mins in game and no spike/disconnect. They have a free trial, I connected to the frankfurt server (both in game and in the app). Hopefully the issue is resolved before the 7 day free trial is finished.... I am also living in the UAE and I flat line every few minutes, is it a problem with Etisalat?
Edit: as the guy above me stated, this seems to be fixed by this pinzapper thing. Hopefully 7 days is enough for Etisalat to get its shit together. @Meme Last edited by Myhoax#5664 on Mar 3, 2017, 6:30:19 AM
