I fear that stuff like Ring of Blades will water down Sire of Shard

I'd say threshold jewels have actually buffed sire not nerfed it, all the ones that add projectiles really help you to get 360 degree coverage when you cast and as others have mentioned sire is so fun for mines/traps.

One of my favourite uniques in general actually, its fruity and probably bad but so much fun.
