I fear that stuff like Ring of Blades will water down Sire of Shard

nice gem. plan on using it for something entirely different.

Me too. I'm gonna try Incinerate + Cast While Channeling + EK and using projectile stuff to buff them both.

Will combo with Cybil's Paw probably, and go high block gladiator. I'm anticipating not having nearly enough damage, but we'll see.

have to agree with the idea of support gem being boring and failing to do what they are suppose to do, give visible special effect to the main skill, % stats should be left to the gear.

You have to elaborate on this. No sarcasm here, I'm having trouble understanding this sentence.

From my understanding he thinks support gems have become very boring damage modifiers instead of providing diversity to the skills they support (like gmp/lmp, fork, chain, etc).

As for the last part, he probably means damage modifiers should be left to gear and support gems should instead create more interesting options.

I'll take a crack.

Support gems are boring and don't do what they're supposed to do.
Also, give them a visual change to the skill they're modifying please.

...And I'm stumped with the last one.

But I TOTALLY agree with point 2. Heck, I think supports should change the name of the skill. Who doesn't want a Freezing Splitting Chaining Incendiary Crunchy Fireball?!

Aaah! Well, I do agree that support gems could provide more effects, both visual and mechanical. But leaving all damage modifiers to gear? Nono! There should always be damage modifying support gems and mechanical support gems. We need both.

Erm...if support skills add visual effects, how do they sell MTX?

visible
Not visual

Something that modifies the skill

Ie: we see chain ricoching on multiple targets
You see the ignite getting prolifed on nearby foes
You even see a cold spell getting added lightning damage

What I dislike are support that give a straight % of damage for the sake of adding damage
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
Well it's hard to make "more damage support" visible. It could work on projectiles by making projectile a little bigger (tho aoe is the same), for nova-like skills it could change color a little, ut how would you make it for melee skills?

reading is hard

I'm not saying I would like straight mutilplier gems to have a visual effect
I'm saying I wouldn't have them..

They add nothing to diversity , only power

You know that not every single aspect of the game have to add diversity?
We already have the end of double dipping planned for soon.

Fun fact is that the "more dmg" rant has started after the league that nerfed CoC.

I think that the more multiplier is overlooked as it is magnified a lot by double dipping.

Also players need set mechanics in order to achieve the proper criterias for yellow T13+ farming.

End game is a purpose, muliplicative buffs is a tool to achieve this. Think about people who do not read forums/reddit. Removing more mult gems would cripple too much players with pure solo mentality as it would be too unclear for them having a path to victory. (we would roll back to the ages when unintuitive builds was meta: iron grip duelists, dual sporkers, etc...)

I always disliked EK, and I do not see it achieving nothing particular next season except in a nested build using CwC. EK is a kind of meh spell that does poor damage and is very reliant on gem lvl and outdatted buffs (like hadred, rusted sash lolz) with soso potential multipliers.

I would feel safer using inc AoE sweep build than nova ek self cast, just saying.
