I don't know if I'd use the word insane, but I do believe the term mental illness would apply.
The problem is that "mental ilnsess" is rather a mind scheme than actuall diagnosis. "Mental ilnes" is just convieniet term "science" drops on everything they dont understand. Mind is Mystery to us and "health" or "ill" mind are very misundertood terms. Its very convinience tool fo "You must think as we say You must think".
Thats all.
Anorexia nervosa has actually different causes.

Bullshit.
Mental illness is a convenient term science drops on some things it understands to have a profound negative effect on the sufferer's life.
You have to be realistic about these things.

If im mentally ill for being a woman with XY chromosomes, then so be it. So Scrotie is wrong of course, its not a mental illness.
People are born with XXY and XXXY chromosomes and so on and no one dares to say anything about them being "mentally ill" there but dare someone have XY or XX and call it the wrong gender for oneself and the crazies call it "mental illness".

From a neurological standpoint, "woman" means a post-pubescent brain formed under the influence of mind-effecting estrogen rather than mind-effecting testosterone. I tend to go by that in assigning gender.
I fundamentally reject the idea that what you feel inside defines who you actually are; no, it defines what you desire to be. Being a thing and desiring a thing are two different things.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

Some things are mental illnesses and others are more like birth defects, being trans is such a case. Wrong set of chromosomes since birth, fix it via HRT and maybe surgery and all is good. The former is for example a notorious liar like Trump with narcissistic personality disorder and a persecution complex probably too among other issues.
Medical specialists dont consider being LGB or T as mental illnesses anymore because progress in medicine established that theyre not mental illnesses.

I would also like to add on for Sarah that most of us transgender people do not expect too much from explaining to cisgender people how it feels like to be transgender. Gender dysphoria is either you have it or you do not. It is like a sixth sense that hurts you and those with only five senses cannot relate to.

Now youre just being transphobic. Gender is in the brain and that develops in the womb not when the doctors says "its a boy" if there is a peepee. Doctors are wrong, not the trans person. The brain is right, not the chromosomes.
