Veteran Casual Player Path of Exile Rating
" Tell me what the answer is worth if i dont even get to understand it? I like LiftingNerd builds because he explains everything. Most of the so called guides are just gibberish to me. All those shortcuts, etc. It is worthless to me, because to understand them i need to invest time that i dont want to invest in this game. Game is for fun, and fun in this particular case is not reading wiki/blogs/etc. " Have you even checked my characters? And/or achievements? Challanges? I am doing what i want to do if information provided to me is clear. Like... LiftingNerd guides that i follow. But i complain on onther things. I play, i take gear. I look at it - is it usefull according to guide? Great (not very often, btw). If not i sell it. The problem is sometimes guys from guild share they findings. And... i dont see how this particular dagger is worth 2 ex. Like wtf? That is just some mambo jumbo to me. I have no idea how many items i sold in vendors that i could sell to other players or trade. Because game dont give ANY information abour real value of item. That is example. " NOT casual game is for example Dark Souls. And Game make it CLEARLY. Poe does not. I started with this game very early. Ive enjoyed it a lot since then. The problem is that expanded end game content is more frustrating than fun. To get later in game i need better gear. To get better gear i need better loot. To have better loot i need to go later in game. To get later in game... And the circle is on. Maby im just bad luck. Since i started this game i found TWO divines. I have NEVER seen exalt. When i drop something that is actually recognisable for worth it is always lowest rolls. I could use some sort of "What new player should know" or "How to recognise a high value item". Just some basics really. And universal table of currency exchange. Just around. And maby prices for gear. I mean "normal". I lack of such info. When i look for it on google i just find shit. Such tutorials could be made by other players. Like in World of Tanks. There are TONS of guides and "what to be known" topics. Also auction system similar to old Hellgate London would be great. You put item, put price in accepted orbs and timeframe. Go. Winner gets this item via message kinda sort of way of communicatuon and.. Ta da! Last edited by de99ial#0161 on Dec 24, 2016, 7:09:14 PM

" No one says that you're wrong and that PoE clearly explains how things work, but belive me that if you hoard shit, you'll drop something noteworthy sooner than later, not to mention the uniques that you should just keep and they'll either improve or become legacy at times. If playing leagues shooting for a copy-paste build is the ticket to go, but even then, you could get improvements via solo self found if you know what you are looking for - and yes, that means more game awareness than you might feel necessary, but if you go the extra mile there will be a huge difference... You could always inform yourself via guild if your items are worthwhile and it takes a 30 second explanation regarding the difference to spot those good enough even if you can't be bothered to learn the variance between affix and suffix, if another person just wants to enlighten you - go for the highest values that you can find on each line of the item and then see what happens... And there are guides made by other players regarding all those aspects like currency or items, and some are obsolete, but many still hold value even now... Of course a selection of in game tutorials is surely needed and hopefully they'll get implemented as soon as possible with the attitude towards improving the numbers of casual players, but if you play a long time that will show... And I'm for that sort of trade improvement that you mentioned with a couple of modifications to make it more adaptaded to PoE... PS: If you played for such a long time and you droped only 2 Regal orbs you are doing it wrong, or all the bad RNG from the entire player base is centered on you, and you're the prototype of the player that plays the game continously after obtainig the most underwhelming result... And you're characters are hidden so all I can see is the 79 level Ascendant on Standard, which doesn't say much... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"... I meant div not regal, sorry my bad. Regal i had around 20.
Ive read a lot but it seems that this reading doesnt help at all. Guild buddies sometimes help, sometimes dont. Wanting is a key i guess. I play when i have time. Thats all. It would be nice to feel that all the learning brings profit, but more i know, less fun i have and more frustrating game becomes. Questions, questions and more questions. |

" Well the Divine Orb is dropping more rarely than the Exalted, but you can farm divination cards for Tabula Rasa and just sell those (or any other 6L for 1 Divine), as the divination cards for Exalt are a bit more tedious to farm... It just matters what you read and how you are using it in game (lots of quantity + rarity still nets you more 6S items that you the transform to fusings and either 6L via Vorici or by hand and then you can just sell the 6L items if you don't need them, the same with another 6 skill gems that you were leveling on the weapon swap, where you can always try to get that level 21/quality 23 that boosts your damage or sells well)... All learning brings profit, and sometimes RNG loves you, othertimes just plainly hates you, but it helps setting goals that are easier to reach (for example: I don't feel like 6L-ing for example so for a couple of months I'll trade all my fus for EX for buying that 6L that I need, and using dailies + MF helps a lot in this regard)... This game is much less RNG then most new people make themselves believe. Try and throw away the idea the game is against you and maybe you just need some more experience playing the game. Same goes for trading. Ofcourse it could use improvement, but there is a system inside worth taking a look at. It's unique and enjoyable, most people that dislike and complain about it are people with no experience. Don't make that stop you from learning. This game is not a '1 day and know everything' kinda thing

" Probaly that is the reason why i havent seen actually even one Exa. " This part? Ist like space rocket to me. I just dont get whay You mean by all those terms. Srsly. I am doing all the things as i understand them but... here i am complaining. " Again. Just look above. It seems to i me i just dont care enought. PoE yoused to be fun because exploring all the ideas behind world. New content, now places to look up, new items to see new enemies to challange. But at one point it becomes frustration generator. And this is the point when i drop out. I prefer to listen to music instead to play in PoE. I recommend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjlFyCk3EIw |

" Well I tried to explain it plainly that every 6 linked item that you'll sell to a vendor will give you instead a Divine orb. The divination cards are those small cards that you can trade to Tasuni in Act IV in Highgate, and the cards that are used for obtaining a Tabula Rasa are traded there and after the Tabula for a Divine. Also, that explanation was to help you set a goal - if you really want to 6 link an item, you can easily do so by farming fusings and use the Vorici bench or try it by hand... PoE still has it's charm, but you should know what you're aiming for - I play it for chill, and I don't worry if I make sometimes mistakes, bad stuff always happens, but afterwards good stuff comes too... " Like i find them plenty. I didnt found even 5l once. 5L i got were from other players kind enough to give me it. " I know what cards are but no luck with them also. I had one tabula corrupted i bought for 20 chaos. " I have Vorici in hideout trying to level him. " In current situation it gives me frustration instead of chill. |

" I sold for shards a pair of gloves that could have been priced for a couple Exalted Orbs - my bad as I wasn't paying attention enough - the worst part was that it was the pair that I was currently using and also the only one with an Uber Enchant... A couple of chaos spamed spiked gloves later, I reached an almost satisfactory situation, although I now need to find a convenient way to boost my ele res to keep the build viable for elemental weakness maps - will probably settle for more res and less damage/HP in that case via changing one ring... I could go on regarding my mistake and how it made me to severly reconsider my options, but that just makes the game more interesting as my build need a shaking up on the used items part and I encountered a new problem and found, an albeit costly, solution in a very short amount of time just so I can play that build that I enjoy - I'll try to fine tune it again and as soon as I reach another satisfactory setup, I'll reach next level and focus on other characters... It all revolves around your point of view and how you choose to deal with setbacks... By the way, Tabula Rasa divination cards could be farmed in Aqueduct on every difficulty, in Channel and Waterways maps also, if you feel like needing Divine Orbs...
