Fallout 4....the disappontment
" Well, maybe after Sacred 3 and Dungeon Siege 3 have their turn on the scaffold, but yeah, it's hard to follow up on a game where you get to blow up an outhouse with dynamite. Plus, it had no geckos and that's like having no chocobos in an FF game. And it's always good to meet another HoMM fan that didn't think the fourth one was trash. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

you all should go and play FO4 in survial dificulty, to get fucked over and over again because the game is to easy to play, and require no skills.
Good luck YES I support the game, NO I don't agree with many GGG decisions
Lab still sucks balls. I miss Zana already. |

" You know, that's a really funny way to miss the point. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

"DS and especially sacred were never as cult as fallout though. Those series had loyal fans inside the genre but fallout was huge. And actually I haven't met anyone whod say homm4 was trash. A lot of people didn't like it, but I think the consensus among them is more like 'we just want homm3 mechanics unchanged', which sadly made every game after 4 the same. I'm a huge heroes fan and I didn't even bother to play 7. Last edited by grepman#2451 on Nov 15, 2016, 2:00:33 PM

"you should really play the first two fallouts, to realize fallout was never about difficulty (unlike, say, early Wizardry games), good combat or combat at all. You can finish fo and fo2 without killing anyone aside from a certain boss. FO4 could be the most difficult survival shooter in the history, and it's still wouldn't be a fallout game. But since you included a comparison of 'crafting' as one of the barometer for a crpg, I'm not sure I'm speaking to the right audience here. The day modern 'crafting' disappears from CRPGs is the day I will go to sleep a happy man. |

" actually i did, for me fallout 2 is still the coolest of them all... spend countless hours in the game, even wrote guides for a local gaming newspaper. but what was in the past should stay in the past. Crafting is something that some enjoy and other dont, I thin its a nice addition, to let you customize your gear and give you a sense of freedom. What I miss the most from FO4 is how the progression is taking place, lack of karma in game, and well... the good ol' perks. For me the lack of wild wasteland perk was a big hit YES I support the game, NO I don't agree with many GGG decisions

" yeah we'll have to disagree big time there leaving great games of the past to play mediocre ass games today is not a proposition I condone Last edited by grepman#2451 on Nov 15, 2016, 5:20:27 PM

True. F2 was a masterpice.

" Seems many would agree with that point, we see a good deal of oldie remakes and remasters lately and games that follow the old model very closely. Also, seems that GOG makes a good business out of selling old games for cheap, they can run on anything so it's suitable for taking on a trip to play on your business notebook or a tablet. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
