I once read that poe staff likes to do things right.

Since act 4 release the game became a bit unplayable for me. Making the way through it and labs is like a torture cause of the lags and level design. Leveling to 60+ and after 85 lvl is too repetative and boring. HC due to the lags is impossible even to try. Playing a lot makes me play more and more to get the best character I can. And I don't even like farming or trading or party playing. So when I make a character around 80-90 lvl I have more or less finished build I become bored. If I die a few times in a row I quit the game till the next league or start a new character. Vicious circle, but it happens to all supported games if they don't want to be outdated. You can't blame GGG. Even WoW is dead now.

Absolutely agree even with 6L-s and many exalts costing gear I can beat the endgame only with OP skills or days of practising and wasting time. It's too grindy and hard even to reach the endgame content.

Wait a second, you complain that you need to put effort into beating the end-game content? PoE veterans have been yelling for years that they want more challenge besides farming maps all day. Now GGG gave us the Guardians and Shapers that are meant to be the ultimate challenge, and you say that you don't want to ''waste time'' and ''practice'' to kill them?

Do you complain you can't kill Illidan (or w/e) without raiding gear and practice when you play WoW?

I guess that all the effort and challenge is related to trading, right? because it is just what end game content is about here. It does not matter really gear/skills, the only thing that matters is whether you have enough wealth to access such end game content (maps>14). So nice for traders/rich people, they get richer thanks to people grinding low-mid tiers endlessly. So fun really. It would be awesome to have as an achievement "complete atlas and kill sharper self found".

Please put your aggression away. I don't need it.
I'm not a veteran but I play for almost 3 years and I don't care about anyone besides me. But to get my 6L shavs all that vinktars stuff and so on with trading and grinding I spent 7 days of ingame time 7 FUCKING 24-HOUR DAYS OF MY LIFE IN THIS GAME! A week to become competetive in endgame. That's way too much. It's not challenging it's time wasting since I'm already tired of the game when I've just reached the endgame maps with more or less viable build.

Path of Exile is a great game. There's a reason why you and me and why other people are still playing it. It's not addictive, it's kinda personal. The people who created this game are very smart and talented. It's like any other game, you either stay or move on. It's a GAME FFS!

Some high profile streamers have mentioned that they are leaving or moving on. Podcasts are dying.

GArena servers are closing en-masse because the game is non-profitable.

I told you. This is the beginning of the end and it will remain that way unless they rebalance the whole game

They are just using PR BS to be misinterpreted on purpose.

I remember Chris Wilson claiming Path of Exile had 2 million players he got called out for this BS(more success than LoL) and he had to clarify he meant accounts.

Every bot, every multi for betakeys, every mule and every banned account is considered being a player.


The only league that had a lower retention was Perandus because it was less grindy.


If you want to see real numbers look at steamcharts, reddit, twitch then you have the popularity of Path of Exile.
Look at the pricing changes of support packs or how they reintroduced "paid beta"

The growing and lower player retention is just PR bullshit from merged Garena servers or additional Servers for certain regions.


GGG just wants you to forget about stuff they promised. E.G. paid private leagues, ct league, pvp tournaments alongside regular racing.....

Gamedevs need to realize players want games feeling rewarding and refreshing.
Eternal grinding MMORPGs with shitty droprates and shitty items have no future.

D3 copypasted much of Path of Exile and it became so irrelevant that their announcement was a D2 character in D3 for cash. I advise you to compare the cinematics for D3 and other Blizzard titles then you will realize what kind of low priority D3 is.

Companies like that will never speak truthful to the playerbase the servers will shut down, the website will go offline and there will be a short notice of a few days.
Reminder on that other NZ company that "sudddenly closed"-

Just think why do the Garena servers get shut down, maybe you looked at the forums.

Let's be honest Diablo 2 with 1.14 had a larger boost of players than Path of Exile with their seasons.

The best reactions I saw from GGG were players suddenly becoming aggressive speaking their mind what they don't like and the GGG employee was like "WTF I thought you liked our game".

Oh and I remind you of new accounts moderating who are in reality just the same hated moderator(same ductus in noncopypasta). It's so obvious that some accounts still have the GGG tag but you never read the account on the forum or in support mails again.

They never actively banned botters who donated tons of money.

Some guy who is selling bots for Path of Exile is even a Diamond Supporter here with a portrait of his Botmascot.

I saw obvious botters having 90% online times getting banned unbanned banned and unbanned again.
In some cases the botters were that stupid using the same nickname everywhere.

It's just so unprofessional that it's sad.

I've been playing since 2011 and I see more and more people playing the game. Guess the game is dying lol, nice try.
