Seriously, 6 "lol"s in that build guide and at least one in each post of this thread, that's unhealthy. Maybe some redditors were annoyed by it in the first place, not by a build, and when downvoting starts you can't stop it :) And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

I don't know why people are circle jerking about how Reddit is a hivemind that stamps out creativity and nonconformity. The place that super upvotes meme builds and unique builds from ghudda.
All you did was post a general earthquake build that wears one unique item which isn't anything different since many people max out on endurance charges anyway. There's nothing really to say since you can simply add it as a footnote to a regular earthquake guide as "options" you can do. Nothing wrong with your guide, but people would be like making a build 2 seasons ago that uses consuming dark + infernal mantel + random fire skill and talking about how creative you are. I pretty much suck at POE. It's ok. Its a big game with a lot of "ins and outs". I have made some of my own builds badly and tweaked other peoples builds to suit my playstyle...such as it is.
I play largely self found. Not so that I can say "look at how much better I am, I play self found"; but, because I don't have the time or patience to trade in this game. It is PAINFUL and I hate it. It doesn't mean it's wrong, its just wrong for me. NONE of this is bad design; its just...well....I pretty much suck at this game. THAT's OK...I still enjoy the game and have fun. I TRULY appreciate and love those people who post builds that are not the current meta. I don't post much...its a rare thing. I look for some important characteristics in a build.... a couplish uniques are ok, I will brave trading for a few things......but hey...cheap is important. I don't trade. I am broke. I accidentally paid 20 chaos for something recently that I was trying to pay 2 chaos for...that was pretty much all my currency...I have been playing for a couple years. Did I mention I suck? Its not their fault that I suck. My point? CHEAP is good. Beginner friendly. I don't understand all the dynamics as much as those people who love theory crafting. Not an obnoxious gameplay. I don't want to play something with rigid timing and skill press orders. I want to kill shit in interesting ways and still feel like I am progressing...somewhere. Pressing qwqer.....in that order every couple seconds...not fun. So...all those words are meant to say...THANK YOU to all those who post interesting and fun builds for beginners that are achievable by people who suck...or at least who are not as good as you are. THANK YOU for doing what I don't have time for. THANK YOU for giving me a starting point that I will likely deviate from...but I never would have gotten their without that start. THANK YOU for making sure there are more diverse builds than just those that are meta that cater to people who level slowly, suck, dont want to spend time trading, have bad luck in drops but are still having a good time playing the game...because its no ones fault that I suck. Its not even mine.....I play the way I choose to play and have fun and people who post these builds make that possible..so THANK YOU back to lurking. |

" You took the most meta/viable melee skill in the entire game (earthquake) which already have complete in-depth guides of multiple variants that have already played all the way to t16 maps and shaper while testing a large variety of gear that spanned multiple seasons. All of your guide is largely the same thing + a 5/10% personal touch with a different set of gloves and a focus on endurance charges. I'm all for personalizing a build here but let's not have an inflated sense that magically people "dislike" your build because it's not 'meta'. I assume it's more because you're posting a guide when you haven't largely tested it past tier 10 maps yet or did enough to differentiate yourself from everyone else. |
