TBH though for build guides (not yours but many others) i'd have to say that if they are going to post them then it has to be in a state where gearing is a minimal requirement and ascendancy points are not integrated as a core part of the build. You can add all the best in slot gear and ascendancy stuff to it later but if it can't work without it then it's problematic Ancestral Bond. Not only reddit is a hivemind of OP builds only, but the forums are rife with it too.
If you go look at my summoner build on the Witch subforum, the one and only comment it received after being up for a while was essentially "Your build just copied this person's and is weaker, drop Femurs of the Saints, grab an essence of fear crafted wand and Victario's Charity and do exactly like their build instead and you will be much better." Cuz fuck creativity right? Not like my build was able to do red maps just fine with high level spectres or something... Oh wait, it could. Also tired as shit of people saying the whole "like this person's build" crap. This game is in a state where all new builds are just revamps and slight changes to an old or cocurrent build. Of course a build is going to look similar to somebody else's when working with an old skill set, the only way you can make a "new" build is to slap out a build guide for a brand new skill before anybody else. That's a shame. You take the time to create a build guide and then get slammed for your efforts to help make the PoE forums better. It is a sad commentary on the state of many players minds to be always finding fault with builds that aren't the top uber OP insta-kill ones. I saw too many negative posts in the latest build of the month thread. As a PoE commoner (casual player with no level 90 build yet) I like to see build guides that don't require BiS unique gear that I'll never ever get to drop and that I'll never be able to afford. These near perfect builds always make me feel like I'm in a completely different lower class of players (which I am part of the 99%) and can never achieve anything in the endgame. GGG fosters this feeling by creating new endgame content (this time it's the 4 T16 bosses and The Shaper) that can only be beaten by the top builds. There is nothing directly wrong with having super hard challenges for the uber elites as long as GGG also gives the rest of us challenges that are in-line with our capabilities (which they don't do).
The overall tone of posts not only here in the PoE forums but in general in the United States has grown increasingly negative in the last year. I am saddened by this and personally attribute this souring of peoples viewpoints to the fact that Trump is a candidate for president. His BS has stirred up a lot of negative feelings in general. Of course GGG is not blameless here either. They hyped the new endgame content and while the Atlas, shaper orbs, sextants, and the 4 T16 bosses + The Shaper are new sadly the endgame is still endless mapping which is not new. Mixing up the map tiers is not helping either, it's still infinite mapping made all the worse by more nerfs to slow down the top elites and kill off anything less than a top build. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."

Everyone wants different things. It appears a significant portion of the player base wants things your builds can't deliver, so they are less than enthusiastic. You can't really change that and honestly I don't know what you expect.
Also, you really have to hype your build up if you want it to gain visibility. Use caps-locked codewords like INSANE, UBER, SHAPER, 10000000 MIL DPS, HC LVL 100, etc. If you can't say anything like that to hype the build, don't expect miracles. I've posted guides for two builds over the years, their raw stats were nothing short of impressive... but I can't help writing them in the same analytical and highly critical style you very well know, I didn't use a single exaggeration, so they didn't gain popularity. " yeah, i agree completely, I mostly aim to make builds for casual/commoners, hence why my gear in my build guide isnt top shit, its realistic, its what people would get if they were self found... the problem, is, as you said, the builds make you feel like a lesser being... i hate that. " https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1729668 I originally started out with skill points further spread out towards scion and such for more life, similar to Miger's then retracted them as the MoM+EB combo just seemed to work out so much more beautifully for a hybrid es/life summoner and kind of mandates that you stick to the life and es nodes that Angryafrican takes. I did lose some desire to keep updating it though as I really want skeletons to be part of the build but the femurs bug is intolerable and gets you killed. Flameblast totems just also grabbed my attention and spectre resummoning was getting on my nerves. Could tolerate spectres a lot more in standard for some reason. Both are using an enlighten to make dual curse and discipline/haste (with a few reservation nodes for haste) fit in the future so leveling my lvl 2 enlighten to 3 and will go back to the summoner and see what I can do from there. And I do really like Knitted Horrors but Sentinels have proven to be... so much easier to work with, especially since you can't desecrate Horrors. "It's all clearer now

" I'm still quality-ing up my less duration :P but my attack time is 0.47 seconds. and skill duration is 0.7, i assuming you mean, i have to have like, higher attack time then skill duration?
