Archers OFFICIALLY the worst endgame class in PoE 2.4

Your Archer is a left side tree Archer, I'm specifically talking about Ranger/Shadow Archers who are getting royally screwed by the new bosses unless they have obscene damage, that is really only granted by near BiS bows at this point.

You can't really compare a right side archer with a left side melee. Better compare a left side archer with a left side melee and a right side archer with a right side melee.

Also Archers were never the best class... unless of course you call someone holding Voltaxic and casting Spark an Archer. But Chaostrappers and Voltaxic Sparkers were better and CoC/Discharge likely was always better. Before LL ST was better and before that Spark Totems. Lighting Arrow Static Blow Archers were pretty good at some point, maybe even the best but that is a few years back.

They were always top basically since the introduction of 2h physical damage mods for bows and physical projectile attack damage gem.

You can't really compare left side Archer with let side Melee though. There aren't any Bow nodes on the left side of the tree, but there are quite a bit of melee nodes on the left side of the tree.

Archers tend to stay on the right side, because all the nodes are there, just like Melee tends to stay on the left side, because the melee nodes as well as life nodes are there. The exception is of course when going high crit, then, you need to travel to the right side of the tree.

stop stereotyping... melee shadow exists
Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact... same fucking thing... over and over again expecting... shit to change... That. Is. Crazy. thinking: "This time is gonna be different. No, no, no please... This time is gonna be different."

Man dude, you are seriously making me laugh. Try and go actually do Chimera/Hydra/etc. on one of your older characters with your build, and you'll find it's pretty hard as shit to do let alone Shaper.

And try doing it as a melee character?
If you really think archers have it rough I dare you to go and do it as melee, and I mean real in your face melee not pseudo half-screen range melee.

Like arguing with you is really pointless, you are arguing endgame bosses are hard when they made them hard on purpose.

I won't comment Blade Vortex & Ancestral Totems because you are pulling stuff out of context here, even normal melee builds and normal casters can't compete to those. Why not instead compare an archer doing a t16 boss to a witch Arc caster, or a duelist infernal blow user, or a templar static strike?

But no, let's compare archers to the most FOTM cookie cutter builds and then demand they be buffed to match those...

It's a good thing a bow character now needs an actual endgame weapon and gear to do actual endgame content.

some skills also go a long way

most archer players only play archers and mostly are conditioned to one-click no-chance-to-do-bad gameplay..

Of course melee Shadow exists, but don't expect them to have nearly as much life as left side of the tree melee users.
Left side of tree also can technically play archer, but that won't be something you see commonly.

No, the endgame bosses are hard specifically against evasion/dodge based characters who can't take sustained attacks, which pretty much all the endgame bosses do. Against other characters who are designed around mitigation or bigger hp pools+instant life leech, they have no issues.

'I'm pulling stuff out of context' ok.

Out of the actual viable endgame classes that are capable of doing all the Guardians/Shaper within a reasonable amount of time without dying, the Archer is pretty close to the worse right now, despite needing far better gear than a AW/Totem/BV character.

Some high level boss have really mean mechanics again evasion based character, some do.

Facetanking buils now .... => vaal pact ( well there is vinktar too ... )
And vaal pact is on the evasion side.

Plus, now either hybrid or full ES seems to be the way to go in endgame, life pool being often not enough ( well having 4k ES on top of it makes a much bigger buffer ) ... and that synergies more with evasion than armor.

I think it's just not true to pretend that armor characters have sustain and evasion characters don't.,
There is a bit more life regeneration on the left side of the tree, but life regen alone isn't enough against hard hitting bosses anyway.
Vaal pact is how you get sustain against a boss, and it's not on the left side of the tree.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
