It looks like you need to install Service Pack 1. We're trying to find a way to make it work without that.

@chris how do you install service pack 1 without paying or disc burner ? Because I don't want to deal with that.

I downloaded from that, you need a disc burner or something in order to install. Do you know any site that has it as an exe file or winrar?

Strange that POE is one of the only games I play that now need SP1. Hopefully a fix can be made

Hi, I also have the same problem yesterday.
After auto update, the game crashed at launch. A box jumped out saying that PathOfExile.exe was not working. I found many people with the same problem in this forum, and I tried the methods others suggested. I tried the pack check, and game still crashed. I tried deleting content.ggpk and update again, and game still crashed. I tried uninstalling the whole game and download again, with no use. I tried to seek SP1, and found that it costs less through window update. After updating my windows twice, I finally can launch the game. Hope this can help u. |
