Flicker Strike - Seeking Advice!

I've been using this build so far https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1674910 and while I find it fun I think I could do with a bit more survivability. Since there's upcoming free passive reset, could someone please tell me which Flicker Strike build provides the best balance between survivability and damage? (I know it'll still be squishy but hey). Or, which is considered the best FS build?

I was thinking of switching to this build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1571744 but I'm not entirely sure if it's a good idea.
So far I'm lv 55 Assassin (first 2 points into Noxious Strike), act 3 Cruel and my bandits are Kill All-Oak.

This (CI evasion/ES hybrid flickerstrike trickster) guide has detailed step-by-step instructions for leveling and gearing from 0 and is IMO more user-friendly. It will also feel less squishy and the gear required is much more reasonable.

The Omnislasher guide, what can I say... just the Skyforth boots are, what, 50 exalts in standard? Something like that. That's not a newbie starter build by any stretch of the imagination.
You have to be realistic about these things.

What about the ascendancy class? I'm already an Assassin, and I don't want to start all over...
It's for you to decide. Here's another super-budget life-based flicker guide to get some general ideas and to look at alternatives: poor man's ficker.

To put things into perspective: assuming you're a relatively new player with no more than several months of playtime, farming JUST for the skyforths will take you longer than leveling ten characters from 0 to 55. Actually, statistically speaking, the chance of you ever getting knowledgeable and dedicated enough in the game to be able to farm for and afford a skyforths are pretty slim. A significant portion of the game's population can never afford this item, and the other items the omnislasher dude is using are much more expensive. His guide could create extremely unrealistic expectations in a new player. What you want is a guide with cheap gear requirements.

Anyway, the ascendancy class can be respecced, it costs 5 respec points per ascendancy point then you have to re-run the lab and pick another ascendancy.
You have to be realistic about these things.

I can say i have expiriance in flicker strike and i can recomend you my build.
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1287298

For what i can tell you its realy strong build.
I even tested Cyclone removing splash and ading fortify and it whas face tanking wilage ruin bosses easy mode.
Also Using frenzy for let say Atziry is realy strong in same setup, you dont actualy need to do it but you can play it safe.
Day i done wilage ruin i also done duble Malformation pure flicker and no problems.
Build worck well on all bosses pure flicker but it also is easy mode swaping skill gems if you prefer for enconters.

Most anoying part in my build will be Jewels i gess, then Corupting showrd.
All items in build are made so specificly, if you remove one enchant or flask, jewel coruption its huge difrance. You can for example go for +1 curse armor and get vurnability on thos gloves but you lose chill from enchant and well its not wort it becouse you dont need it.
This build is made in perandus league and loot of tinkering gone in tuning it just as it is, nothings there whit out good reson.

If you loking for Strong build thats it, it do so mach damage and have crazy speed, its tanky, 100% relayable no fany bissnis and can do all maps mods escept i gess you wont do blood magic becouse whay will you. xD

Hmmm... And what about the build I'm using now? The equips there are 10 exalts at most, and I'm pretty lucky with Chaos Orbs. Here's my equipment at the moment:

All I have here is 5 chaos max. I was buying mostly for minimum slots needed for gems to work. Belt, talisman and rings for INT, since gems need it. And my passive tree looks like this so far:

Judging from your gear setup, I would strongly recommend and urge you to play another build advertised as simple and newbie-friendly, with a detailed leveling guide. Trying to make a flickerstriker work will only cause you grief and frustration. Your gear and gem setups are so messed up I don't even know where to start.

Don't take it as harsh criticism, flicker builds are notoriously fickle for newcomers and I've also made the mistake of seeing a flicker guide, saying 'wow' and hitting a brick wall on one of my first few characters in the game.
You have to be realistic about these things.

I fixed the link for my build.. IoIz

Your items are horible, no offence. You better of starting new build in essency league becouse in standard you wont be able to trade efficiently to geer up or even be able to finde items you need. When new league start its gona be ghost town in STD.

Like i say most problematic thing in my build are jewels, do note i dont use rats nest or diamond ring or crit gloves. I still have 95% crit and abouth 600% crit multy. Damage on flicker is per use 3 hits and i attack almost 11/s not counting DoT damage.

Sword it self is usualy like 1c on new league, jewels like 10-20c and thats all you basicly need. I wont do builds with random item colection, you know whats missing from your build, what you dont know is how to make most of what you alredy have. You are assassin and got crit so this build use that fact to its limits.

Yeah, I just wanted to dive into it as soon as possible. Most FS builds are viable from lv 70 onwards and I got impatient... From other characters I have an Arc Templar (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1147951, the templar tree)and Ballista Ranger (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1615541). I'm also working on SRS Witch (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1707400) and while the mean little skulls destroy bosses, they kinda slow on map clearing.

It's just so mesmerizing whenever I FS into mob pack and clean it in seconds...
PS Since you're saying I should leave FS for later, I'm just going to ask since it got ignored on my older post: is there a build that has survival, can do all maps and has clear speed as close to FS build? Cuz this is basically what I look for...
