Flicker Strike - Seeking Advice!

Your goal right now should be to get to know the game instead of worrying about having the bestest build ever. You should look for an entry-level build, not a top-tier endgame build. If builds were cars, what you should look for is an old secondhand volvo which isn't the fastest or the prettiest but is cheap, sturdy as a tank, easy to drive and is guaranteed to get you there and not let you down. Don't look at the lamborghini and ferrarri section, you can't afford one and you wouldn't be able to steer it.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Suner you stop westing time and curency on parlet triks the better.
You got build on silver plate, new league that start next day and all you need to do is play the game.

Stay focus and in cople of days you be flickering all you whant. Comite to build if you realy like it and start living and not driming. Spend time well farming and serching items on poe trade, get basic to get progres, pay boss kills and ascendancy to save time, it will all add up.

If you not up to it then sure go play some Arck or SRS and keep driming of flicker.
You feel mach better if you know for what you worck for and each steping stone will revard determination. As i say stay focused and take what you realy whant.
Well, it's just that I'd prefer to do everything in one go, if you know what I mean. "One character tor rule them all". I want a build that'll let me do all the content. My priority list looks like this:

1) All maps, all tiers, uber viable
2) Survival
3) Basically facetank
4) Fast map clear
5) Available from the start

It's true that I need to commit to the build, but the thing is I never found a build that I can commit to.

Bars, you look like you know how most things work. Help a low funded newbie. Recommend a few builds for me please. Here are some of my personal opinions to help out:

- I don't really like totems. Ballistae are ok since they have good range but others are meh.
- I like to keep things fresh, and Duelist and Scion are the only classes I haven't played yet.
- No Ground Slam. Boring.

Couple builds I'm interested in:
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1579705 I know Blade Vortex from the FS build, and I thought if it had bigger AoE and more tankiness it could be fun.
Any Facebreaker build - but I had more fun with Infernal Blow than totems when I tried to make the Warchief Totem build - everything exploded. But there's no FB IB build, so maybe Cyclone works too.

PS That picking cars is the best analogy ever XD
I'm unwilling to do all the work for you and browse and assess builds until you pick something.

Blade Vortex will be great in patch 2.4 and there will be extremely strong pathfinder and assassin BV builds, the ES-based being the more endgame-powerful.

For facebreakers, shield charge can probably compete with flickerstrike in terms of clearspeed.

You have to be realistic about these things.

Ioiz, this just make me smile.
Just take you time to finde what you prefer i gess.
As for the build you describing and priority i know just of one build capable of it.

Litle joke:
Besicly you whant Full on life tank that use Decoy Totem in 4 link no the less. xD
Then you get in party with 4 strong suport build and one insane DPS yolo build and run along and cast Decoy Totem. You be suprise how team worck pay off. You can look all the awesomnes of DPS build and all you need is to cast Decoy Totem on bosses.

Ok I admit it was too much of me to ask for you to pick a guide for me. Let's try a different approach.

From these, which would you say fits my criteria the most?
Scion - Blade Vortex https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1614624
Shadow - Blade Vortex https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1514961 (I think I just picked the cheapest, not the best one)
Duelist - FB Cyclone https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1675396
Duelist - FB Shield Charge https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1676598

I know I complain a lot but I really appreciate your help.
The Scion got a heavy nerf and the Scion build is also a ferrari.

zSavage's life-based shadow bv is solid and a great league starter. Don't underestimate the importance of having a cheap build when you're starting from scratch, this is an important consideration even for experienced players who know how to speedfarm - it's the single most important one for a new player. You can also transition to lowlife or CI if you gather enough currency at some point. The expenses for respeccing will be 1/20th of the cost so it won't be a problem.

The cyclone duelist will be slow as fuck.

Mathil's shield charger is a typical Mathil build, which means it will be strong, straightforward, will clean extremely well but don't expect it to be a facetank.

Both zSavage and Mathil's guides are good choices.
You have to be realistic about these things.

If you do want to play a cheap flicker build, take a look at my character Sha_Nagba_Imuru.

No required uniques, a couple of 200pdps daggers and a 5l, you're good to go. The tree can be modified for more life. Even my 6l is technically a 5l since im using AoE gem for melee splash QoL.

Ofc, some helpful uniques are facebreakers, Bino's and Belly of the beast.

Get Deadly Infusion first, then Toxic Delivery.

In its current state the character has about 6k life and about 26/27k avg damage with 10 attacks per second.

As for league starting, it was my first real char in prophecy and i built it completely from scratch. Went on to make like 25-30ex in the league(only played in the last month).

If you want to know more then let me know.
For try, for see, and for know.

This is a buff

I see, thanks ^^ I can just respec my Shadow and I know what to play with my Duelist.

But on a side note, just to be sure one more question: what about this build? https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1531450 This is purely cosmetical question, I've always been a fan of dual claws ever since Diablo 2 ^^ Wild Strike ain't that bad either, it's like Cascade, Arc and Infernal Blow in one XD
I am shocked that nobody here brought up the advice that if OP here wants a godly build that can perform any task in this game he is simply not rich enough for it.

Firstly, I do agree that fellow veterans here like Bars mentioned really good builds like budget flicker-striker and blade vortex. These are good builds but not universal builds.

Flicker strike-Simply has issues against tanky bosses in red tier maps and so far there is no way to deal with it unless you have an overtuned weapon. You would need frenzy to generate the extra charges to run flicker strike and that is really dangerous because the weaker hits from frenzy leave you defenseless which is a common cause of death for flicker.

Blade vortex-Will still be a sick build in the new patch but the God-mode version of blade vortex that can handle anything normally requires a different setup that suddenly increases the budget by a hundred exalts.

I concur with other players' advice that you should take time to explore what this game is really about before wanting to learn how to fly before you can even run. Reason being that most builds work only for certain playstyles as well as specific gears and even goals in this game. It is interesting to note that you can make a carbon copy of another build and still fail.
