SliverTongue Unique Is Poorly Made, Heres Why

this item isnt weak. it will still outclass 99% of rare drops and 80% of rare crafts

It is so funny to read comments from people who think this bow is weak. There is a big difference to Reach of the Council.

For using Reach of the Council you don't have to really understand game mechanics - just put it on any build that normaly uses GMP, gain an additional support gem and 25% more damage for free and thats it.

Silvertongue has the ability to clear trash even faster than Reach of the Council has ever been able to and might be one of the fastest clearing bow builds in 2.4 if build correctly.

ZiggyD in his video did a (intentionally?) bad showcase of the builds DPS by using the "wrong" bow skill. Tornadoshot isn't optimal for this bow, neither is Lightning Arrow.


For AoE clear Split Arrow will be OP
For Single Target you can use another bow on weapon swap or just use good old poison Barrage

It really is as simple as that:
Step 1) Just build your regular crit bow build, without the pierce nodes
Step 2) pick Deadeye Ascendancy
Step 3) use Rigwald's Quills (can be aquired from Divination cards) instead of Drillneck
Step 4) ???
Step 5) Profit! You can now oneshot 2 screens with a single attack


Everyone out there who ever played crit Splitarrow in the past, before the power creep happened, will understand what power this bow has to offer (also don't forget the new Steel Ring base type which fits this build really well)

It made my brain explode trying to understand how you could use the Blasphemy Support gem to select some of the bonuses. Maybe Projectile Weakness? (I worked out what you meant eventually, though!)

ITT: people pretending the strongest bow skill in the game doesn't have an auto-pierce in it's initial phase.

This bow is weak.
Ask yourself what does it offer comparing to mid-tier rare harbringer bow.

Cons:
It gow much lower physical damage. (big con for bleed build)
It got 0,5% to 1,5% less base crit rate comparing to good rare one. (probably similar crit rate in total with 100% chance of the fork from this bow if its global)
It got low attack speed. (lower your dps alot, but doesnt matter on bleed build though)
It doesnt proc bleed on the first target if you build around fork or chain for it.

Pros:
It gives 100% bleed, though its useless since bleed is not stackable mechanism and its easy to get perma bleed on bosses with just 25% chance. Trash mobs or rares will drop dead from just initial hits anyway.
It gives 100% pierce after you chain - tons of sources for it, isnt anything special.
It looks nice (but you can transfer the skin duh).
If 100% crit chance is local so drasticaly up your base crit rate, then its really only strong point of the bow.
