You dont need to run pierce or fork soo you just opened up TWO gems for more multipliers like WED or Slower Proj rofl.

Anyway, you can use pierce if you do not use fork.
Fact is : you can use pierce.
That can be a quite high dps item with 7.5% crit change that always applies bleeding.
Or that could be an item that has a 100% inc crit change built in if you fork.

You don't have to pick multiple if you don't want to.

He didnt even listen to the video, this is how the bow works when you fully maximize its potential.

Projectiles Fork first, then they Chain, then they Pierce, which proceeds to Bleed.

Now, if you use Rigwalds Quills you get free Fork, that removes one less damage multiplier. If you use Deadeyes Ascendancy node your projectiles Chain one time for free. After that they Pierce and then Bleed.

If youre using Split Arrow or Tornado shot you dont need to use LMP or GMP, even if you wanted to youd only get 1 less multiplier which means nothing because youre getting your Fork, Chain, Pierce and Bleed all for free. Theres plenty of ways to get +1 Projectile too which completely removes the need for LMP/GMP.

Also, The Wolf Card isnt rare, its funny hes sitting here calling me ignorant though.

Edit - To further clarify exactly what you could do...

Split Arrow/Tshot + Physical Projectile Attack Damage + Slower Projectiles + Critical Strike Multiplier (optional) + LMP/GMP (optional) + Faster Attacks + Fork (free) + Chain (free) + Pierce (free) + Bleed (free).

Its essentially a 10 link bow when used this way. You can replace Critical Strike Multiplier and LMP/GMP with other things as well.

I guess the recent power creep ( with items too ) is making people getting used to crazy items, and is raising their expectations like crazy also ....

I think this is the main thing the bow was designed for. Initial hit gives guaranteed bleeding, then secondary hits can then fork for extra crit, or chain and then also get guaranteed pierce without any need for pierce support gem or nodes.

Also the OP is forgetting about multiple skills. For eg, you could use the fork and chain parts of the bow with your trash-clearing attack, then use the guaranteed bleeding on your single target attack. (Also: siege ballista says hi.)
