Sometimes it's worth to pick up every yellow item

Back in talisman, when I did the same.

You mean finding a ~10-20 chaos item once in a blue moon is supposed to make it worthwhile?

Nope.

But please, don't listen to me - go ahead and identify everything. We do need someone to feed gear to the market.
You have to be realistic about these things.

There is many items you wont ever see on market being sold. Especially if they are good. Things being sold on market are the ones someone doesn't need and someone will need.

But i guess, you never played ssf, so its ok to have such opinion.

also, not identifying for 2c recipe is more worth than 10-20c item? well ok, i guess you don't even trade much.

So, I never played SSF or I don't trade much? Which one is it?

It's always amazing how some posters are so fucking sure of their opinions even if they obviously don't know what they're talking about.

Have you even tried to record your income per hour running several hundred maps, identifying everything the first time and just doing chaos unid recipe the second time? Oh, wait - you can never run several hundred maps because it will take fucking forever with identifying. Never mind.
You have to be realistic about these things.

My irl job is to obsess with numbers, so i keep them out of game. But i can tell you, i dont care about optimization, once i get a good drop, it makes it worth/repays for all those other slow runs on average so we are on the same page as speed runners, true story.

Why should i count anything, if i have enough currency for any item except mirror/hh/mirror worth items.

How do you know you're on the same page as speedrunners if you don't fucking count?! 'I have enough currency for what I want' =/= 'what I'm doing is the optimal strategy'.

Never mind, I won't argue. It's good that there are drones to do the dirty work, this allows others to do everything in a fraction of the time. So, carry on and don't mind me.

I agree, I don't have an optimal strategy, that's why i trade and cover my losses in speed and have better enjoyment of game. Never claimed I know/work with optimal strategy.

Just trying to point out, having 50 sets per 2 c = 100c , or you could find one item worth 100c among them, only loss from identifying them all is loss of time, and loss while doing recipes is the enjoyment of finding decent item, while saving time. Thats all i wanted to say.

OK, I'll bite. First, you accuse me of not knowing what I'm talking about by using your considerable powers of uninformed assumption: 'you haven't played SSF' (which is wrong and completely irrelevant in a discussion about optimal ways to play the game since SSF is obviously far from it) and 'I guess you don't trade much' which is also completely wrong.

Then it turns out you have never tried to compare the two ways of playing the game (while I have) and don't have any reliable data to base your outrageous guesses on, you just feel like it - but you also realize you aren't playing the optimal way... although you actually feel what you're doing is just as good, because... well, you just feel it's so.

Perhaps it would be wise to avoid being so sure of yourself and so dismissive of others' opinion when you obviously have very limited experience and actual data on the subject.
You have to be realistic about these things.

I'm not doing a scientific article, it's forum discussion, OP made even less of a back up on claims. It is good to have data, but i'm not a developer that i would ever need it, have only experience. Only developers have the actual data, and all we can do is make samples and guess how rng works and turn it into our favor, or think that we turn it in our favor. Certainty comes with data, but data isn't all that there is to it.

Also, your argument can be mirrored at yourself, you disprove OP post, but actually posted no data or indication why do you make such a claim, and then you disapprove of my opinion that is based in a simmilar way to your words.

Also, did you not ever come to thought, that my posts are exactly made in a way that i can gain more data from you, while at a same time it may seem that i actually shitpost?

I agree on all your points, and thank you for the input lol.
