Any Melee improvements in 2.5.0?

If you're never going to properly address melee concerns that's something that should be made clear.

You can play any build you want, as long as it's the current meta.
We got fortify so thats something right? The thing is this issue has no solution. All rpgs have this issue. Make melee to strong and no one will play ranged. Make any changes ranged can benefit from and ranged only gets stronger.

Developement Manifesto for 2.5

- Improving ES values from passive Tree and gear by 50%
- CI also makes now immune to physical damage but removed "more ES" nodes
- Vaal Pact gets additional 5% baseleech for life and mana
- Fortify can only be activated by wearing a ranged weapon and be atleast 10 units away from the next monsters
- Increased damage of glacial hammer by 2.5%
- Increased damage for ground slam by 2% (this is a buff!)
- Nerfed Life Values on tree by 50% explanation:
"We felt life was still too strong compared to ES builds therefore we had to act accordingly"
- Poison no longer works with melee skills. explanation:
"After internal long term testing we felt that poison fits more for ranged or spell playstyle"
- Alle Bossmonsters have a 20% more damage multiplier against the life of a player but reduced 25% damage against the energy shield of a player. explanation:
"This is a further measure to tighten the gap between ES and Life"
- Cospri's Malice now have the additional stat: Elemental Equilibrium. Explanation:
"We felt like players had too much trouble to path to Elemental Equilibrium therefore we gave it to them for free".
- Before we forget: Bladevortex reduced max stack to 10 but increasing damage by 100% more. Explanation: "We felt like we want to introduce 2 new MTX for bladevortex so enjoy guys"

Why nerf Earthquake and leave Ancestral Warchief (AW) untouched when AW is nigh-guaranteed to see a much heavier nerf next cycle?

Does the balance team just not get enough time? Or did they actually think AW was in a good spot?

AW is perfect. No change is neccessary....

i dunno. personally i feel animate weapon could always use a buff.
