A golem is better then molten shell but you can have both.

I put the golem in the CWDT for characters with mana issues but the guardian has mana to spare and makes them tanky so I kinda like having control over when and where its summoned. Putting it in CWDT is fine too
molten shell gives me 6% phys reduction starting from 5312 base armour for 10 secs or until it breaks, but it only gives me 3% if I pop

On the other hand, a chaos golem would give a constant 4%. It comes down to preference (how often do you use flask, if at all). If I were to use a golem, I'd rather have a flame golem for more DPS.

Also, CWDT + Warlord's is really good in reflect maps.

Atm saving big for those Skyforth,i think that*s the main item i should go for.
I can*t run Herald of ice atm (running Haste+Clarity+Flame Golem)
I*m trying to bend my brain around the fact,that what if i get -20% lightning or elements,will i be able to run it as blood magic like it is socketed?

Today, I finally managed to grab myself a pair of Skyforth's (57ex down the drain). I was able to go from 5.7k avg. dmg to 6.2k unbuffed tooltip. Not quite as good as I expected (for 57 ex), but it IS one of the few things I could do to 'upgrade' this char lol.

Although, I am still on the fence about dropping the 8% armour nodes leading to jewel socket branch because of one thing, and one thing only: Ancestral Knowledge is pretty much the highest efficiency (15 INT per point) choice. at this point. Everything else is either 13.3 Int per point or 10 INT per point with 6% cast speed.

Golem is better regardless, you might want to look at the Armour formula http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Armour
The golem brings 4% pure mitigation

The mitigation from the Armour is less vs the big hits which are what really matter. This is why endurance charges are so strong.

The armour also has no effect on physical degens such as lab traps and bleed.

Warlords is great. I blasphemy it as I'm on the skyforth build and have an aura lab enchant on my hat.

hmm, I did not know that. So you're saying the phys reduction % from armour is different from endurance charges and chaos golem? Interesting...

I think I would still use flame golem if I were to use a golem. I use enduring cry with +1 endurance charge on my belt anyways.

Very different. mostly armour is only about 1/4 effective vs bosses tops. 4 endurance charges is pretty good. you shouldn't have too many problems with physical damage at that level and the free guardian %phys resist and armour. so yeah if you prefer flame golem it's viable.

If you want DPS from your golem though think about looking into Lightning golem. Considering all the %inc damage we get from int the fire golems %inc damage shouldn't have too much impact on you. the cast speed from lightning golem is probably more relevant. of course cast speed isn't calculated into icestorm's tooltip so you've got a bit of math if you wanna be sure for your specific numbers/build.

I dropped one of the 4% reservation nodes in order to reserve more of my mana to push my ES a bit higher. I'm sitting at 181 unreserved mana with a lv19 clarity. It feels very comfortable to play.
