My currently gear on legacy league:




I have 4.3k Energy shield with discipline / 1290 int and 3.1k icestorm dps with both golems in my hideout.

I have currency to buy the perandus ring and astramentis should i buy them? or buy quality gems? Or focus on getting a 5L regalia with 600+ shield? I feel like 4.3k energy shield is pretty bad.

Yes. It's extremely tanky and leechy. Just remember that this is NOT a ranged attacker build and don't try to range/off-screen everything. Your main defense is leech. Avoid leech immuninty, Hexproof and ele reflect maps to be safe. Don't tank the attacks that are meant to 1-shot you. Be careful while leveling, outlevel the content by a safe margin. Don't try to faceroll dangerous bosses until the build is complete (lv 85). If you don't do anything too crazy it would take an effort to RIP with this build.

You are in melee range anyways, making blasphemy/aura's hitting everything I believe ?

I have a whispering ice i got from divination cards, ilevel 60, and ive sunk 200 jewelers into it and not gotten 6S.

It is possible to get 6S with a whispering ice from the cards, right?

Why my dmg is lower with Avatar of Fire and Fire to Cold?

Had that in my 5S staff

Scorching ray - CWC - life leech - controlled desctrucion - elemental focus support

now is
Scorching ray - CWC - life leech - fire penetration - cold to fire

AVG dmg 1200~

Why is like that? :(

Because you're removing 2 damage support gems. Fire penetration doesn't give you damage, it penetrates the enemies resistances. And cold to fire doesn't give damage.

because you replaced the other damage gem with fire penetration, which is an equally strong (if not stronger) push for your real damage output, but not shown on tooltip. 1200*1.49 (lvl 18 ele focus instead of fire penetration; cont dest replaced with c2f) and you arrive exactly at 1788 tooltip damage. ;)

so yes, its practically the same for now. later on when you have a higher level and more sources of increased damage, the fire conversion setup will be stronger.

Few thoughts about leveling in new leagues. ( First three days )

Forgot about gear with int/astramentis/unique jewels. Its extremely hard to find it or buy. But its not necessary. Most of your currency you will spend on 5s-6s your staff.
I'm 70lvl with 4k es and ~850 int resists maxed ( took 3x passives from bandits). Its enough for low tier maps.
I would recommend skipping duration nodes and rush for stun immunity. It really helps. And you can grab two cheap Brute Force jewels for dmg increase.

why CWDT setup with CoH + curse + ball lightning instead of AOE spell like shock nova??20% chance of shock is great buff
